The property itself is beautiful and idyllic set in a tropical rainforest setting. Every villa is quite private and the common spaces are tastefully curated and executed. However, this property leave something to be desired when it comes to amenities. No room service was available. No alcoholic beverages were available for purchase as far as I could tell. I also felt that at times the staff didn’t quite have it together meaning the cracks in the floor were exposed and evident. I feel that the front desk could be much more hospitable when it comes to offering additional services and amenities.
A very laid back place located in a very natural garden setting. Rumah Boedi has created a number of magical spaces. The open-air lounge is beautifully decorated and offers a space where one can just sit and read and listen to nature unfold. Buddha images and fountains decorate the property. Equally beautiful restaurant. Staff are friendly and open. A very special place.
No conveniences in room. Restaurant had minimal staff but overpriced. Even coffee/tea was pricey. I ordered vegetable noodes and had sticker shock when I received the bill. Inexperienced staff.
That's goof for personal trip.
I went to Borobudur temple from this hotel, I took Tuk-Tuk to go there.
The driver asked me very expensive price. It's very difficult to negotiate with him, because he only speak Indonesian language . I recommend that you should talk with hotel stuff to make the price in advance.
Nice stay for relaxing and shooting. Romantic environment with lovely lights.

Liked: Staff & service
The hotel grounds are beautiful but we visited during the off-peak season and the hotel was not in good condition. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful but there is a need for maintenance in the hotel. The restaurant options are also quite limited.
The one advantage of the location is that it is quite close to Borobudur Temple.

Memorable stay
Set in beautiful grounds with friendly and helpful staff and near main attractions. Loved relaxing, having afternoon tea and reading my book.
I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff were fabulous and the location is quiet and convenient. The bikes are great to explore the local area on and the open pavilion is great for lounging around in. The food is good although a little limited. The studio rooms are very tiny and probably not great value. Borobudur is outstanding and this is a good place to stay to see it.
The tranquility of the hotel was felt immediately from the time of our arrival at the reception area. The gardens and common areas felt secluded but welcoming. The fountain and koi pond, statuary and landscaping felt as though I was a guest at a lovely private estate in Java or Bali. The staff was very willing to accommodate any request. The breakfasts were very good and so delightful to enjoy in the garden. The dinner was also well prepared and nicely served. In the evening a favorite place to linger was the lobby or what I would call an open air pavillion elegant enough for anyone's taste.

Nice hotel, very limited food options
I don't really know how to rate this hotel. The hotel itself is nice and the staff are very friendly. However, the hotel is quite far from anything and the restaurant had very little food. We arrived just after 12:00 noon and went to the restaurant for lunch. They didn't have most of the items on the menu and offered to make us noodles (not on the menu) or fish (on the menu but rather big for a lunch). We didn't fancy either of those things, but they agreed to make vegetable fried rice and chicken satay. Then they sent someone out to buy vegetables and chicken because they didn't have those items. An hour later, the rice came out, but they informed us that they couldn't get chicken. We also asked for fresh fruit juice, which was on the menu, but they didn't have any fruit.
Breakfast the next morning was similar - they still didn't have fruit, nor did they have milk. The only breakfast items were toast and an omelet. They did, eventually, agree to go to the shop to buy milk.
The food we did have was good, albeit limited. I'm just surprised that a hotel, which seemed full of guests, didn't stock their restaurant, especially since there weren't other options nearby.
