"I love how beautiful this property is, close to shopping and quiet. I really enjoyed our stay, I loved the onsen on the property. Just 15-20 minutes drive to Fujikawaguchiko. Perfect place to stay to see Mt Fuji while still enjoying the peace from tourists."

"Was able to get a room , only had a non smoking room available but the smell wasn’t bad. The general area was fully booked but it had friendly staff."

"The hotel is a little dated, decore-wise, but everything is very clean and the Onsen are very nice (we're first time users). Staff are very helpful! Would stay here again."

"Stayed here on a family holiday in 2 double rooms. Convenient location as we were driving and good value. Very helpful staff. Clean rooms with amenities available as required. Dining options are available nearby; the sushi place directly across the road is excellent! Would be happy to recommend to others who would like a slightly unusual place to stay "

"We had a wonderful and very relaxing stay at hotel Shinko resort. Be sure to include the half board (breakfast and Dinner) to your stay. Also take full advantage of the natural hotel hotspring! "

"It was fantastic! From the entrance, the bamboos are seem to be welcomeing us and once we through the door, quite space was there and nice probably designed furnitures. Staff was really nice and they attended us to the room. A room we stay was Japanese style with hot spring. Hot spring was really great and temperatures was perfect. There were big hot spring in a different place but if you want to enjoy own time, differently room hot spring is worth to enjoy. Oh, there were many restaurants...

HOSHINOYA Fuji
10/10 Excellent
"Very unique and upscale rooms that are minimalist but adequate. The view was the main attraction and we were not disappointed. A pleasant surprise was the outdoor fireplace that the staff lighted every evening on the comfy balcony. The rooms were quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. One downside was the strict process they used handled the meal reservations. When we checked in most of the dining times were already reserved and we had to eat later than we desired. When we went into the dining room there were very few tables being used so a bit disappointing- also the breakfast didn’t begin early enough so we were unable to eat our first morning, however we did make it to breakfast the second day and it was delicious! They need more dining times to accommodate all guests since there really aren’t other easily accessible restaurants nearby. The bar area was also a problem since it didn’t open until 7pm, and it was quite dark sitting outside. Finally there are a lot of steps to get from your room to reception, dining and the bar and they need to be better lit. People also need to be in relatively good shape to make the hike up and down. We did have a wonderful stay, but a few tweaks would make it even better!"
"We had a lovely stay at the Fuji View Hotel. You can choose a room facing either Mt. Fuji or Lake Kawaguchi, though the actual view depends on the weather. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide range of both Japanese and Western options. The hotel is easily accessible from Kawaguchiko Station via a free hourly shuttle or the Saiko sightseeing bus that stops nearby every 30 minutes. Located away from the town center, the hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere with plenty of walking paths and beautiful surroundings. Perfect for a relaxing getaway."
"The staff was very welcoming and friendly! They did a great job helping a foreign traveler. The amenities were great - I appreciated they let you choose what you needed rather than overstock a room. The room was clean and cozy. The most amazing part was the onsite onsen. So relaxing and perfect after several days of traveling. "
"We stayed for 2 nights in late September (family of 3). The hotel is right on the lake, with beautiful views of Mt.Fuji from the roof top, and we had that same view from our room - it was spectacular! We had half board (breakfast and dinner) and the food and sevice were excellent. Onsen was an amazing experience - it was the first time for us and we loved it! That said, property could use some updates (for instance, our private bath was a bit outdated but it didn't bother us). Don't excpect super modern hotel, because that's not what Lakeland is. It is very charming and traditional. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again. "
"The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Excellent amenities. Excellent private and public onsens. Quiet. Calm. Relaxing. I slept like a. Baby for 13 hours after a massage and two hours at the onsen. Great breakfast too!!! Incredible stay. "
