"We paid for a sea view room. You could barely see the sea from all the buildings. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The showers were clogged so it was hard to shower. You had to wait until the water drained to turn it back on or else the bathroom would flood. "

"Awful hotel. There was a reception desk but we did not see any staff the whole time we stayed. The front door was left open the whole time with no staff there and our room was right at the front. Anybody could walk in and out and we felt very unsafe. The room was fine/ ok. Only a really thin sheet to sleep in and when you have AC on this is not enough so we were cold all night. Found some foul smelling and dusty blankets in the cupboard for the following night which kept us warmer but felt...

"Hotel Luxury Perhaps the greatest chapter of the trip was our stay at Hotel Luxury. If Ksamil was the poem, this hotel was the refrain we returned to. From the moment we arrived, there was kindness. A porter carried our bags, and politely refused tips. The receptionist, a gracious woman, took time to talk us through every nearby beach, hotel amenities, restaurant options; when I offered a tip, she demurred, saying “it is too much.” Our room was a two-bedroom unit, large and spotless; each bedroom had its own decent-sized bathroom. The view from our balcony was incredible, sea stretching out to the horizon, sunrises waking me through whispering waves. Service was consistent and heartfelt. Staff asked about our moods, health, what we needed. Breakfast felt like visiting my grandmother after a long time away—fresh, handmade, plentiful. In the afternoon, the little luxuries: pistachio ice cream that melted on the tongue, a cooling double espresso, or a café latte made with imported beans. Small graces that felt grand. What touched me most was knowing that this hotel was run like a family. Brothers Eltim and Ronaldo, and their sister (whose name I sadly never asked), are clearly the soul of the place. Their staff stay for years; there’s loyalty, care. At the end of our stay, they surprised me with beautiful gifts—local wine, Ksamil souvenirs, handmade olive oil—wordsless thanks for my small generosity. I left not just content, but deeply grateful."

"Quite nice luxury hotel with excellent amenities and the staff being extremely welcoming/ helpful with all inputs. The only downside is the main boulevard is a 40 walk unless you rent a scooter or pay for taxi which is ridiculously priced all over sarande and only via cash. Rooms were very neat and prices were reasonable for the hotel as well so highly recommend it given there are so many dining options and a scooter rental next door. "

"I stayed at San Angelo Hotel with my friend Daniella and we had such a fantastic experience. From the start, the staff were so accommodating and always ready to help with anything we needed. Obed and Samuel looked after us brilliantly at mealtimes, and Joseph was especially kind and accommodating to Daniella, he really looked out for her and made sure she was comfortable throughout our stay. Helen and Caroline on reception were so friendly and gave us excellent recommendations, while Sule and Victoria kept our room spotless and always greeted us warmly. What really touched us was the free lift to the Sarandë bus station at the end of our stay, such a thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care about their guests. Sarandë itself is absolutely beautiful, and this hotel made our time there even more special. We truly felt at home, and I’d highly recommend San Angelo Hotel to anyone visiting."
