"We enjoyed our night’s stay at this property and felt safe. However, the door to room 312 was not tightened properly. We used the upper latch to help secure it even more.
Hot breakfast was decent, typical continental style…eggs, sausage, waffles, bread to toast, packets of hot cereal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. No complaints. The attendant was kind and friendly.
Overall, we would return to the property. It’s accessible to nearby restaurants, shops, and the Newport News/Williamsburg...
"This property was beautiful. The restaurant there was amazing and customer service was top tier. Hats off to the chefs. They definitely cooked that food with love. I went during some events they were throwing there because it’s also an event space. Even though they had the music going it wasn’t to loud. I still enjoyed my room very much. Would definitely stay here again. "

"We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The grounds were quiet and seemed very safe - we did hear the trains a few times, but with a white-noise speaker and some soft earplugs, it didn't bother us or the dogs at all. If...
