Whitchurch-on-Thames Packages (Flight + Hotel)

My partner and me stayed for one night. This place has great potential but they need to work on several areas. It was very clean the room was very nice and the air con was spot on. Negatives breakfast. Yes it’s a bonus getting a breakfast in a London hotel but this was very poor. No hot water in morning so no shower which was very very disappointing. No explanation as to why . Barman in evening when we returned after watching London show not particularly receptive . A bit of courtesy goes a long way. In summary lots of things to be improved but with a bit of effort this will be achievable

Given the price for a room in this hotel, I was disappointed by the standard of maintenance. Room 443, the TV screen kept breaking up,the remote control didn't work properly, the shower leaked under the door and the flexible shower arm was coming apart revealing the plastic pipe inside. On the plus side, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Another point to note for those with mobility issues, its at least half a mile to the nearest tube station.

After I confirmed room with insurance, Expedia provided my booking that said room was non-refundable. I also noted that there were no windows in this room. It turned out to be a basement room. I wasn’t in the room very much. London hit record breaking heat, so being in the basement was cooler than above ground. Disappointed that Expedia’s fine print was not apparent before purchase.

Good size room, very lovely staff, great location. Really the only reason it was not 5 stars is because the bathroom had a bit of a musty smell (but was clean, I think the smell was from the drain). Space between wall and sink when sitting on the toilet seat might be a tight fit for a larger person. Bedroom was quiet, the was bed comfy, and had a suitcase stand. Would definitely stay here again!

Very pleasant stay. Staff were especially helpful.
