The Bristol Hotel
8/10 Good
"Hotel itself is OK but the room I was in wasn’t great at all - the air con (or heating block) started to work at 6am with unbearable noise (that lasted till at least 7am, by when my Saturday morning hopeful long sleep was ruined). At night, as it is top floor, while I expected no one walking on top of my ceiling, it seems to be noisy with running animals (seagulls or rodents I don’t know) above the ceiling at midnight, which is a bit scary. Bed is very high by European standard and room is compact size. But I have to say front desk concierge was helpful with storing bags and pointing me at accessible toilet when the main one was cleaning in progress."
Apex City of Bath Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We have a great experience, staff members very friendly"
Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel
8/10 Good
"Very well placed, large hotel and friendly staff. Room was a good size. Not hotel’s fault but noisy at night from street noise into the early hours. The mattress was on the soft side, but felt like it was nearing the end of its comfortable life"
Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City Centre
10/10 Excellent
"Great location for the station and main shopping area. Lovely and clean property with comfortable beds"
The Gainsborough Bath Spa
8/10 Good
"The overall appearance and experience within the hotel was excellent. The staff were good and helpful even if the barman made for awkward company. Sadly the spa facilities were a bit hit and miss with the sauna not really being up to temperature and the steam room being intermittent with its operation. This would’ve been okay if guests had unlimited spa hours and we could’ve worked around. But with only two 2 hour slots in the day within which to use the spa and for those two hour slots to be intermittent because of the immunity time it was slightly disappointing but a good stay nonetheless."
Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport
8/10 Good
"The room was clean and had a very comfortable bed. The shower was powerful. Good soundproofing, couldn't hear anything from the rooms. Disappointed with the breakfast, we had the continental as on an early flight, which would have been fine if there was anything, coffee machine wasn't working, hardly any pastries. We still had to get breakfast and coffee at the airport which after spending £186 on the hotel was quite frustrating. The main door wasn't working and very heavy to open and one of the lifts was broken so a long wait for the remaining one. The highlight which saved the stay is how close the hotel is to the airport."
