OYO The Pickering Park

"OYÓ Pickering was fairly spacious. The extension lead was not that great and kept turning off. Fortunately I had my own, otherwise my alarm clock would have turned off. The kitchen was quite well equipped, however I much prefer to have facilities for tea and coffee in my room so that was a real disappointment for me. Staff were very polite and helpful."

"The room was basic and appeared to have been made up in a hurry - wastebin liner not fitted to allow waste to be deposited and no teaspoons. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. There was evidence of repair work in the bathroom where different tiles had been poorly fitted - but it was clean and functional. The pizza served at dinner was as good as you would get anywhere in mainland Italy - obviously fresh and piping hot. Breakfast was excellent, a very good selection to serve all tastes, hot food hot and a good selection. Friendly and attentive staff, although a call to reception went unanswered for some while during a busy check-in period. The current drought conditions didn't show off the gardens to their full potential and paved walkways had quite a number of loose slabs."

"The property was very clean with everything needed for our stay. Location is perfect as you can walk to a few good restaurants and a good pub. The owner was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again when visiting family in town."

"Very clean, it had everything we needed and the log fire was lovely. We will definitely stay again as visit the area regularly to visit family in nearby villages. Hosts were very friendly and quick at replying to messages."

"Room was clean and comfortable. I can understand the complaints about the room being warm but it did not bother me as a fan was provided in the room which was fine. Very convenient for Humber Bridge walk and Hull City Park n Ride. The whole feel of the place would be greatly improved by investing in ground keeping, weed spraying etc. Breakfast was ok for the price. I would stay there again. "
