"Great location, clean and safe"

"This hotel is ok if you are on a budget and willing to put up with the absolute basics. Paper plates and plastic spoons/knives/forks for breakfast is below what I would consider a minimum standard of presentation though. We had a leak in the roof of our bathroom and could hear the creak of something in the corridor all night long. Hotel was just somewhere to sleep though so did the job. "

"This was a comfortable stay on a relatively quiet street. We appreciated the fresh coffee, bakery bagels and muffins every morning in a spacious sitting area. Subway line 1 right across the street takes you to shows, and West Village and East Village are both an easy walk from here. The room was clean and spacious and the service was friendly. Not too fancy but just right!"

"This hotel is listed as Times Square. It is actually located in Hell's Kitchen, closest to 11th Ave. There are no security features in this hotel besides a single desk worker. Room keys are not needed to enter the elevator. My room was in severe disrepair. AC unit was duct taped to the wall, and ser at 51 degrees by staff. It ran once overnight. The single lampshade was ripped in several places. All of the picture frames in my room and bathroom were broken. The shower had cracked, black grout. I was provided with 2 hand towels and a bathmat; not a single body towel or washcloth. Bottom line, I did not feel safe or clean in this space. I will not stay here again. "
