"Boutique 17 is centrally located and the downtown was walkable especially with the funicular. We arrived late at night and the check in was very easy which was appreciated after a long flight. The room was very clean and we had a great view. The only concern we had was the breakfast the buffet was very limited and you had to eat outside even though it is winter in Chile and very cold. People were sitting around in toques and winter jackets. "

"The hotel has apparently changed ownership and is undergoing renovations. I onky found this out when i arrived at the hotel having prepaid 2 nights."

"My family slept comfortably in a suite with 1 queen, 2 twin beds, and a a private bathroom. The beds were comfortable and room was clean. The hostel has a very welcoming and warm feel to it. The common area has a fully functioning kitchen and access to fridges that you can store food in. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend!"

"A well preserved heritage hotel with helpful staff. The area has lots of hip cafes and restaurants. There is an enormous amount of street art. Things to be aware of: The hotel is in the hilly part of the old city Valparaiso. You can expect very narrow cobbled streets and very steep climbs with lots of steps. Parking on the street is difficult."

"Cheap. Dirty. Bed full of ants. Good location. This is a step up from a hostel. Location is good for historical district. Room is dirty (e.g., little white specs on the bathroom walls from other people’s tooth brushing - ewwww!). Staff are OK. Tiny ants everywhere. In the bed. Biting."
