"Tolle Unterkunft. Die Zimmer und die Gemeinschaftsduschen/-WC's sind sehr sauber und ordentlich. Das Frühstück ist üppig und für jeden etwas dabei. Es kann ein Abendmahl, z.B. eine hausgemachte Suppe, im Vorfeld bestellt werden. Kann man nur empfehlen. Sehr sehr lecker."

"This was a nice hotel with an excellent restaurant for dinner and the best continental breakfast of our whole trip. We only stayed one night and did not use the spa, which you have to pay extra for, but it is there for those who wish to do so. Close to town and great views of the lake. Seems like they are working to landscape the property as well."

"Our "room" turned out to be a stand-alone rustic cabin in the woods - a nice surprise. It was clean and functional. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Pleasant staff and good breakfast. Got a chance to chat with the owner while checking out. Overall a pleasant experience, highly recommend."

"Pro: guests cleaned up after themselves all the spaces were clean. Shoes off at the door you have to switch into indoor slippers. Very well equipped shared kitchen. Didn't have to wait long to use bathrooms/showers since there were multiple. Convenient location to shops and restaurants. Con: way too noisy. Even though we had our own room it felt like a true hostel. Might as well pay more if you're looking for good rest. The heavy doors will slam shut every few minutes and it's not soundproof....

"We absolutely loved our stay at Ásgeirsstaðir Cottages!! We wish we could have stayed more than just a night, but we had to move along to our next destination. The cottage was perfectly equipped with everything one might need. The beds were comfortable, there was a cozy living room and dining area, and our particular cabin was at the end of the road on the edge of a beautiful lupine patch. This was the perfect place to relax after a day of driving. We opened the windows and listened to the...

"Nice place but they do warn you the hot water smells of sulfur and takes a while to come out. In our room the toilet paper holder didn’t hold the roll very well, and the view outside was not very interesting. The staff and the restaurant were great through - love the baby back ribs, pizza and nachos are too plain."
