"The room is pretty small being a twin room and there is even smaller bathroom and we have problem getting boiled clean water because they did not give the kettle , instead there was a coffee machine which was extremely difficult to operate and the cups provided the paper ones were very, very small. As a result we have to buy water bottles from outside to fill the coffee machine. The staff were okay , one gentleman on arrival gave us the wrong message that we were already billed when it was not the case and we were billed at the end when we checked out . Not a big deal but we kept looking at our credit card and bank statements to check whether it was already done or not which was a bit of a waste of time and unnecessary, one of the girls at the reception kindly gave us a small bottle water so that was appreciated. Overall it was okay but it would do with a bit more space to put things on like toiletries in the bathroom and also the roof off restaurant was costly and the view wasn’t that brilliant anyway."

"I booked triple room and I am happy with the size of the room and beds. However, the food in the hotel is not good. It’s also pricy. It took us some time to find the room because the room number is not listed anywhere so we had to ask the person who work in the hotel. There are no restaurants around that area, which disappointed us, when I booked it from Hotel.com, it says 4 mins walking to the beach, I imagined there would be tourists and restaurants around the area. "

"Impeccably clean. A great place to place to rest after a long journey, a very late arrival or prior to leaving on a 6 am flight. We landed in Catania Airport and left the terminal at 1:00. We slept like babies."

"We booked a "Triple room" through Expedia. The description stated (and still does) that "The front desk is open daily from 2:00 PM - midnight." Well, there was no front desk at all. It is a hole in the wall. After calling their phone number and dealing with two people who showed up in person but did not speak English and one more who spoke a kind-of understandable English on the phone, we got their "Basic room" because the "Triple room" already paid for was not available. It was too late to look for something better, so we agreed to it. Well, "Basic" is very basic, but it was OK to sleep in before an early flight out of Catania airport. Took an Uber to the airport because the advertised "12 min walk" was about 16 min, mostly through dirty dark streets with mostly no sidewalks (checked by walking from the airport area the evening before). "

"We left after two nights because this might be the worst hotel in which I have ever stayed. The sink in the bathroom did not drain. When reported to the front desk, we were met with indifference, so two days passed with a backed up sink. The shower was the smallest I have ever encountered - 20 inches by 20 inches (.5 meter x .5 meter). The lukewarm water dribbled out - barely, meaning that it was very difficult to rinse the soap off. The shower was so small that one had to stand in the bathroom but not in the shower because one could not raise one's arms. The food in the restaurant barely reached a mediocre level. There were two choices - the same for both nights and no deviation from the set menu was permitted. The room was relatively clean, but certainly not spotless. The pillow on the bed were uncomfortable. The grounds were less than mediocre. Our room was advertised as a garden view. It was a trash heap view. The tanning deck looked like it was last renovated about 1960 (about 60 years ago). The sand on the beach was not that clean - alot of dirt and sticks mixed in. The best thing this hotel could do is close and undergo a year long renovation."
