Great value and place for a family of 5

Great value for visiting unawatuna. Beautiful bungalows with all what you need. Good and healthy breakfast. Juices, coffee's, fresh fruits ,omelette and sausages . A lot of monkeys on the trees close to the swimming pools. Very good experience. If back in the area that's our hotel!

Lovely hotel.. This is not 5* hotel - if that's your thing... It had a TV, but it didn't work. Cracked plug socket/curtain rail holder missing etc.. I bit tired in places. But, the staff were friendly, the room/s were large - and clean. If you want a place to stay a short walk from the beach and near restaurants, then this is a good place to stay. A couple of pools too. We went pre-season, so were lucky to be here with not many others using the facilities.

Garden paradise - full of wildlife

Stayed here many time. Staff amazing and place really beautiful. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Unawatuna. Good Wi-Fi in communal areas (doesn’t quite reach all rooms). The eco friendly question hotels.com asks is difficult to answer. They give lots of bottled water, which I guess isn’t very eco-friendly - but that is what tourists want. I guess maybe if they had a large central water dispenser people could refill bottles for that would reduce plastic use. I think some tourists might complain though. It is a difficult issue for a Sri Lankan hotel

Fantastic place to stay!

Flower Garden trully was stunning place. Hotel staff was really friendly and kind, breakfast was super large-scale, pools were fine and cleaning worked well. Whole are had many different wifi so it worked really well.

Leaking roof and cockroaches

We decided to have a nicer hotel for our last days in Sri Lanka. First night they put us in rooms which were a complete disaster! We couldn't sleep all night because the roof was leaking water. Water was dripping on us and all our clothes and bags got wet as well. Then in the middle of the night when we turned the lights on there were COCKROACHES in our bed!! That was just sick and this night was the worst accommodation experience that we have had in our lives!! Second night we got upgraded to a suite because we refused to stay in that room any longer. Althought it took us almost 5 hours to wait for the hotel manager and new room so our last day in Sri Lanka was ruined by waiting the hotel manager with our stuff in the lobby and no sleep before the last day.

Rauhallinen perhehotelli

Hotelli on rauhallisen sivukadulle varrella, hieman kaukana rannasta. Ympärillä on paljon rehevää kasvillisuutta, oravia, liskoja lintuja... Huoneemme oli mukava moskiittoverkkoineen ja siivoojamme teki todella hyvää työtä. Palvelu oli nopeaa ja joustavaa. Buffetaamiainen oli monipuolinen, söimme muutaman kerran päivällistä ravintolassa ja illalla palvelu oli hieman hidas, mutta ruoka hyvää. Lähistöltä löytyy kaikki tarvittava, mutta kapea katu, jonka varrella palvelut ovat, on vilkkaasti liikennöity, jopa hieman vaarallinen. Hotellia voi suositella lämpimästi. Rantaan kannattaa mennä tuk-tulilla, joitain paljon ja helposti saatavissa. Wi-Fi oli hieman hidas meidän huoneessamme.

We stayed for 5 nights. Generally the stay was good but the hotel was a let down a little by the cleanliness of the rooms and that it felt a little tired. Service was good and any issues we had (noisy room and broken bathroom door) were sorted quickly enough. Wifi only worked close to the common areas in the hotel, our rooms were too far away.

Hyggeligt familiehotel, fantastiske pools

Dejlig roligt hotel tæt på både forretninger og stranden. Til trods for en del trafik op ad dagen kunne det ikke høres fra hotellet. Værelset var rigtig stort, dejligt med et skrivebord og køleskab (dette var dog ikke gjort rent for nyligt). Badeværelset ligeledes stort, men man skulle stå op i boblebadet for at bruse sig. Dette medførte en del vand, der løb under karret og ud over gulvet, så man skulle ligge håndklæder dels for at holde fødderne tørre, men også for ikke at falde på det våde gulv. Stor balkon de stole og lille bord. God plads til at hænge håndklæder og badetøjet til tørre. Hotellet har to fantastiske pools, som vi brugte rigtig meget. Den ende pool var lavt i den ene ende, som er godt, hvis man har mindre børn med. Gode liggestole med parasoller rundt om begge pools, flot beplantning rundt omkring. Morgenmaden var mangeartet og i rigelige mængder. Rigtig velsmagende kaffe, dejlig kolde juice, frugt m.m. Tjenerne meget opmærksomme og yderst venlige. Hjælpsom receptionspersonale. God lobby med behagelige sofaer, desværre kun fri wi-fi i lobbyen som virkede rimeligt. Rart hotel hvor der var plads til alle. Dele af hotellet kunne godt trænge til en opfriskning, samt udskiftning af bl.a. myggenettet over sengene. Dels var der huller i, men kunne også have trængt til en grundig vask. En del af håndklæderne var lidt for forvaskede efter min smag. A/C larmede en del.Den daglige roomservice var fin. De gjorde værelset og sengene helt fint i orden.

We booked the luxury penthouse suit only to discover it was across from the main hotel and up 2 sets of spiral staircases. The room was small and dark the bathroom has a terrible smell with the bath leaking everywhere due it having a crack. Asked for our money back after 1 night as we were due to stay 6 after standing my ground the gave a some of our money back .

The property is average but a crowded place with 2 swimming pools and littl garden. The room we booked, Super Deluxe Cabana, was a larger room the nect level down seemed better value. The WiFi is only avaalable around the pool and lobby area which was a bit incovenient. When we arrived the re was a broken chair in the room only one glass, none in the bathroom no spoon for tea/coffee making aircon ws note really big enough for the space. Most of this was rectified but needed the manager, who was not a very friendly sole and evasive, to intervene.

Kivat uima-allas alueet ja puutarha.Hyvä aamiainen ja illallisella hyvä ja edullinen ruoka. Illallisen hintaan sisältyi alku- ja jälkiruoka. Erittäin hyvä viinilista. Infossa makoili pahalle haiseva koira, joka oli hotelli väen hoidossa. Huoneessa oli kerran torakka ja parvekkeella muurahaisia ym. Kylkyhuoneen kaadot väärät, joten vesi jäi seisomaan altaaseen ja vedenpaineet heikot. Meidän majoitus oli perimmäisen talon 2. kerroksessa. Varmaan mukavampi huone olisi ollut oma bungalow tyyppinen huone omalla terassilla. Mutta kaiken kaikkiaan mukava hotelli ja ystävällinen henkilökunta.

I stayed one night there. Room was not the cleanest one but okay. Wifi does not work in the rooms, only in the lobby and (sometimes) at the pool area. Breakfast was clearly better than average in Sri Lanka. Staff was really nice and I got free late check-out until 6PM. Location is decent and many nice restaurants are close by and the beach is not far away either. They close one of the two entrances at 11PM and it was difficult to find the other one. Perhaps they should tell that during check-in.

Mycket nöjda!

Tillbringade 5 nätter på Flower Garden. De första två nätterna i en bungalow där badrummet sett sina bästa dagar, vatten läckte ut från wc, möss åt på vår tandkrämstub och en stor spricka i jacuzzin. De försökte fixa det men utan att lyckats, vi blev flyttade till ett liknande rum och hade en fortsatt bra tid på hotellet. Efter förhandlingar blev kompensationen en middag med vinflaska på hotellet. Restaurangen levererade kött högt över förväntan och middagen blev mycket lyckad! Stället ligger tyst bortom myllret och få störande ljud på natt eller morgon. 8-10min promenad till stranden. Glöm inte bort att besöka djungel beach som är mycket lugnare än stora stranden.

Good value hotel

Good location within close distance to bars and restaurants. Hotel has lovely public areas - gardens are beautiful, 2 lovely pools with sun loungers and umbrellas, dining and bar area clean and welcoming. All staff were very pleasant and professional. Good choice of breakfast items and all very tasty. We only eat dinner one evening at the hotel but food was plentiful and well presented and good quality. We were early for check-in and were given a welcome drink and cold towel and the staff worked quickly to getting us in quickly, and we were given a free upgrade of room. There were only 2 downsides - the jacuzzi bath (with overhead shower) was cracked so you had to be careful were you stood when having a shower, and a couple of the room chairs were broken . Very small items and these didn't spoil the overall experience. Overall, it's a lovely hotel and very good value for money.

Mooie bungalows in een prachtige tuin

Mooie en nette bungalows gelegen in een prachtige tuin met 2 zwembaden op wandelafstand van het strand. Heerlijk ontbijt en lekkere keuken tegen een schappelijke prijs. Heel vriendelijk personeel.
