"Very much enjoyed our stay at this lodge. It was in a nice, quiet location with easy access to downtown. It was perfect for our base to explore Banff and the surrounding mountains. Would definitely stay here again! I did miss having a microwave in the room though to heat up leftovers. Other than that, all was lovely!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Douglas Fir. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location with free access to local buses. Great aquacentre. The room is older style but clean and functional, with daily room service. The layout was suitable for our party. We were lucky to have a room with a gorgeous view of the mountain. The bed was comfortable and we all had good sleep during our 4 night stay. It is a good deal in Banff area. We will book it again and highly recommend to others."

"The service and the hotel here was a 10 out of 10. All the amenities that you could imagine, plus going out of your way to make sure that you knew everything about the town activities. Transportation, I loved this place."

"I was shocked to find out that my room was not air conditioned. It was 84 degrees outside and at least 80 in my room when I checked in. When I called the front desk to question it (since the other room I reserved for another couple was air conditioned), an extremely rude staff member was sent to my room to show me how to get air in from the air-conditioned hallway. He literally said, "if you wanted an air-conditioned room, you should have booked with an air-conditioned Hotel". I could not...
