While spacious enough and clean, the rooms were not necessarily aligned with the room rates. Some aspects were excellent and recently renovated, while others were a little tired. "We went to Miramare for our 1 week honeymoon and loved every second of it. The room had a perfect balcony overlooking the sea, and makes for a perfect morning coffee spot. "The view from the terrace is very beautiful. We had a room with access to the terrace and a sea view. The villa is full of flowers—it feels like being in a botanical garden, superb. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very kind, talkative, and friendly, always ready to offer advice for an easy and pleasant visit to the island. Weak point: the internet did not work at all in the room; it was only functional in the reception area, and even there it was quite weak."

"We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. The owners were very hospitable. Excellent value. "
