It was a lovely area, and they people were extremely friendly.
Lovely hotel with great food and free parking. Excellent sunny outside area to relax in if the weather is good. Only a 10 minute walk into Torquay or there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. All in all had a great time.
We spent 3 nights and it was a fabulous hotel the food was out of this world and the room was clean and spacious. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much for them. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
This hotel is really good place to stay. The rooms are very clean and fresh and the beds are very comfortable. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. We reLly enjoyed are 2 night stay and will be definitely returning in the near future.
My only criticism is that the bar was not open at 9.45 on the evening on our second night. They close it if there is no one drinking, but this is no good to people returning to the hotel at night expecting to have a nice drink before bed. The hotel should ensure it is definitely open until 11pm to facilitate this. Other guests expressed the same feelings and disappointment.
We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at The Hotel Balmoral. The bedroom was a nice size with very comfortable bed and a good sized shower room. The staff were very friendly and the breakasts were excellent. We had dinner there one evening, which was also excellent with a great selection of wines. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Four of us stayed and had a lovely experience. Very attractive hotel. Good service and great breakfast. Bus just outside to get into Torquay centre. Five minutes on bus saved taking the car. Could not fault the staff. Friendly and attentive. Would come again.
Friendly, helpful staff, rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast delicious, cooked breakfast and coffee was hot and plentiful. Plus the choice of juices and additional breakfast goodies were very tempting. Only slight criticism was the shower head was fixed at quite a low level so made it quite tricky to have a shower.......However, would most certianly stay again
The room we had was extremely Small and no shelves in the bathroom ,we asked to move to a bigger room but the hotel was full. The food was excellent and all the staff were helpful and friendly. We would return but look to have a larger room.
Another great stay at the Balmoral Hotel.
Friendly staff, great location. Stayed on B & B basis, lovely breakfasts.
Love to return again later this year.

Hotel Balmoral - 3 nights stay
Charming hotel in pleasant location close to nice beach with delightful garden area.
Room 19 on first floor was clean and adequate for 3 night stay. Ensuite was 'bijoux' but could do with a bit more shelving/storage. Would probably chose a different room if staying longer.
Public rooms excellent as was food, Good bar with reasonable prices and staff efficient and helpful. Bus into town from just outside entrance was useful.
Would recommend.
Breakfast didn't start until 8.15, which was too late for me. They were able to give me a breakfast sandwich.
Room was compact and cozy, bathroom a little dated.
A really good well run family hotel great staff who are happy with their job, very clean and well decorated throughout loverly garden with lots of quality furniture, excellent breakfast menu we only had dinner once on our last night it was fantastic food and I wish we had used it more. The owners run excellent hotel with real values and keep a very happy environment for both staff and guests keep it up you are doing a great job 😍

Food excellent, bed good.
Dinner and breakfast was excellent. The bed & bathroom were good. The room only had a very small window and would benefit from modernisation.

Size of the room and location (no view of anything) was a little disappointing but we did have the last two rooms available
The staff were amazing food exceptional gardens were glorious
We have just returned from 5 days at the Balmoral Hotel in Torquay and we had a wonderful time The hotel was spotless, our room was described as cosy but there was plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. The hotels garden was so pretty with plenty of recliners and tables and chairs. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious We are hoping to return for another holiday in the near future. We would highly recommend the Balmoral

Relaxing break
It was a very friendly, family run and peaceful hotel, close to the beach. Lovely to come back to in the evenings after visiting the Princess Theatre for a show. Breakfast great, efficient service.
Room could have done with updating but it was a standard and had everything you needed. That was all that was available at the time but premium rooms are offered.
Lovely hotel and staff was our third stay here !
However I didn’t much like my room it was a good size but very dated no view except into someone’s bedroom and on the roof
We were only there a couple of nights so it wasn’t so bad but I would never book that room it was number 18

Double bedroom No.6 was small and cramped. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever experienced. The bedroom carpet was in need of replacing as it was faded and marked.
