"Disappointed to have pre booked supper requesting a window table to be sat in the middle of the restaurant. The shower needs attention! The shower rose was so blocked you couldn’t use it, it was leaking from the arm joint, and the handheld was exactly that, you had to hold it as the riser rail was broken! Luckily I have a soft spot for this hotel and the geese will always make you smile in the car park "

"Very beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings. Very comfortable bed and the room was very well equipped. Lovely touches of the radio and Nespresso. Breakfast was very nice and the staff at breakfast were fantastic . Throughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend the hotel."

"We are an elderly couple & had a four hour journey through difficult weather. A staff member happened to be outside when we arrived & unasked, helped with parking, unloaded our luggage & took it to our room. On registering we were invited to rest in the lounge, served tea & assisted with telephoning. The room was very comfortable & clean. Breakfast excellent. All the staff were well turned out, friendly & helpful. On departure our luggage was carried from our room & placed in our car. "

"The staff were wonderful, and the location can't be beat. We unwound each night with a half-pint on the beautiful terrace that is set along the riverbank. The building is a lovely old hodge-podge of levels. We were at the top of it, which involves a stairs-climb that could be hard for some. There is ample parking (very welcome!). "Wir hatten einen kurzen, aber sehr schönen Aufenthalt, als Zwischenstopp für eine Nacht auf unserer Reise.
