"Nice older hotel with a beautiful view of both city and river. Ideal location, walking distance to Nubian Museum and ferries to Elephantine island. Friendly staff, welcoming and providing great recommendations with a smile (thank you Miriam at front desk) We had à la carte dinner- the juiciest tender chicken pieces in shish tawouk and fatty. Daily free breakfast buffet is epic- with fresh food, omelette station and the wide variety of breakfast pastries, yogurts, accompaniments. WiFi could be stronger in the rooms, works fine in the lobby area. "

"If there was a 10 star rating I could select I would. The hotel is beautiful right on the Nile. The Nubian architecture and ambiance is stunning. Karim and is whole team gave my wife and I one the best experiences we’ve ever had. From arranging taxis, boat rides as well as providing us with recommendations for Egyptologists They truly made us feel at home and like family. The chef came and introduced himself our first out of our four night stay. He accommodated our Vegetarian diets superbly. Sunrise and sunsets are to die for and right out the rooms door. Swimming on the Nile couldn’t be easier. Boats and meals were good price and great quality. Wait staff in the restaurant were very good as well. The only thing I can say is that the WiFi does not work in the rooms at the time of this review but it works great everywhere else. Karim went above and beyond to try to remedy this. In the end it seemed like it was the hotel internet provider and not the hotel. Overall great experience. Cozy rooms, beautiful views, great service, authentic Nubian vibes. Highly recommend. P.S. we checked into Ben Ben after our 4 night stay at Aro Kato.. We had a hard time getting settled. We were a little home sick for Aro Kato. The people there just made our trip SO special"
