"The pod of screens to sign yourself in when you arrive is not very welcoming but staff very helpful and dealt with this. Decent size car park now chargeable all week (contra information in room which suggested Fri night to Sun are free - apparently out of date). Decennt breakfast sensibly priced if you scan the code in your room beforehand. Restaurant/room service stops by 9:30 which was inconveniently early. "Plenty of parking on arrival,check in was easy with the very helpful staff at check-in room was very clean,fresh and comfortable with everything you need in the room . A very good and comfortable stay was had looking forward to a return visit soon "

"It’s a convenient B&B but be wary that it’s no where near SportCity, so a bit of false advertising and the map is also wrong. Other than that, the place is OK. Car park you have to pay for and be careful, I got a ticket even though I paid and couldn’t prove I had other than the £4 payment on my card. However, appeal failed. So… parking is expensive!"

"The staff are fantastic. I notified a member of the bar staff that we had a booking and he got me checked in immediately, sorted our keys out for us and showed me the room. He gave me good detail about the hotel and the fire exits, door keys etc. The rooms are separated from the pub by a locked door that you're given a key for. This is very reassuring and secure. The pub itself was quiet before too late so getting to sleep was easy. The fan in the room was very much appreciated as we stayed...

"We stayed two nights in early June ‘26. The rooms left much to be desired. They were worn out and dated. The bathroom definitely needs updating- dirty with peeling paint and the toilet would not flush on our last morning. Not much fun. There is no AC, so windows are open in every room making for a lot of noise from the parking lot and jets heading into MAN Airport (right in the flight path). "Room was great. Booking in was awful. All young staff, no management visible. Absolutely awful. Expected a bit of noise from pub. But sounded like being above a club. Drum and base beyond 12 midnight. Tea and coffee minimal. Wouldn’t consider staying again. Cleaner in the morning, absolutely delightful. Best member of staff for sure!"

"It definitely had the old English charm that I was looking for. My room overlooked the waterway which was nice. There’s a Costco close enough to get anything you might have forgotten. The pub next door served the complementary breakfast and other meals throughout the day. On Friday night they had live entertainment which was very nice."
