Tallinn TV Tower

Gorgeous vistas, aerial thrills, interactive exhibits and possibly the highest restaurant in Northern Europe are some of the reasons to visit the tallest building in Estonia.

Experience spectacular views of Tallinn and its surroundings when you stand on the observation platform of Tallinn TV Tower. From here you will see the Old Town, the Baltic Sea and the forest of Muuga. Enjoy the tower’s other attractions including exhibits and a thrilling rooftop walk.

This colossal structure rises up 1,030 feet (314 meters). The observation deck is on the 21st floor, 558 feet (170 meters) above the ground. To get to it, ride the high-speed elevator from the first floor, a journey that takes 49 seconds. Once you arrive, look out the large windows and step on the glass floors to observe the view directly beneath your feet.

As well as marveling at the incredible sights, browse the Estonian Hall of Fame exhibit, which is also on this level. Touch the mushroom-shaped pods to see pictures and videos covering key achievements in the country's history. Go up one floor to the restaurant for its mix of Asian, French and Estonian cuisines. It claims to be the highest restaurant in Northern Europe.

For a special thrill, walk on the edge of the TV tower's roof, at a height of 574 feet (175 meters). Visitors are secured with safety harnesses as they appreciate the unique viewpoint for up to 30 minutes. For details of prices, requirements and restrictions, visit the tower's official website.

Among the other attractions are an exhibit of the tower’s history and a TV studio where you can pretend to be a presenter. Let your kids have fun in the outside children's play area, which features climbing equipment and a rappelling lane.

The tower is 5.5 miles (9 kilometers) from the center of Tallinn and is served by several bus lines. Alternatively, drive and use one of the 60 metered parking places.

Tallinn TV Tower is open every day except December 24. Discounts on the admission fee are available for students, seniors and children under five years of age. Note that all of the tower’s public areas are wheelchair accessible, except for the outdoor deck on the 22nd floor.
