Such a beautiful home right in the centre of the town. The owners were very kind and accommodating and Miriam was a delight. The rooms were homely and comfortable and I would happily return again and again.

Gite au Vieux Pommier was the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful town of Tadoussac. The gracious hosts made us feel welcome in the shared living spaces and the updated rooms offered every amenity we could have hoped for. The hotel is conveniently located and allowed us to easily walk to the harbour front, Hotel Tadoussac and the Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre. If you are thinking about visiting Tadoussac, I highly recommend Gite Au Vieux Pommier, as you certainly will not be disappointed.

We stayed 1 night, quick to check in, always available if needed. I forgot my iPhone charger, and the host lend me one, really appreciate this gesture! Bedroom and bathroom were clean. Just 3 minutes of walk of the restaurant and view on saint Laurent.

Not actually a bed and breakfast - no breakfast included or on site. The description at time of booking said breakfast was included, which was our main reason for booking this over others. It is actually a paid breakfast ($~50) at a location a short drive away. That said, the host was lovely and the space was very clean and central to Tadoussac. Just needs an updated description!

We liked location and great view from the balcony. Very stylish design and furniture. We were surprised that the breakfasts were not included and the property was claimed as B&B. Also it was a consistent strong smell in the room that we could not get rid of.

This is a charming little inn. Great location, decor and attention to detail. Very comfortable, although I did have the largest room and I believe the only one with a private bathroom. The hostess was very friendly and enthusiastic. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The owner was incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome. The place was nice, clean and cozy and in a perfect location to explore Tadoussac. Be aware that some rooms have a shared bathroom. We didn’t notice while booking, so that was a bit of a surprise upon arrival, but for one night it was ok. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you!

Excellent value for money - best in Tadoussac

My friend and I stayed in this beautiful, well maintained property while at Tadoussac. The owner, Mdm Ella (Bella) is truly an amazing host, super kind and helpful. The rooms are very beautiful, comfortable and decorated with great taste. The place is so quiet and serene. The price is the best in all of Tadoussac. My girlfriend and I stayed here in late May. Since it was during the 'down season' the owner graciously upgraded us for free to her fancier hotel, right down the street. The owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. Beautiful views from the back balcony as well as inside the eating area. The room and bathroom were very clean, easy parking in the back, and the breakfast offered was top notch. We couldn't have been more happy with our stay. I would highly recommend staying here and we will stay here again when we return in the future.

Very comfortable stay for my 11 year old son and I. The other guests were quiet and respectful. Comfy bed, great location. Good value. However would not recommend for those with mobility issues. Older buildings with steps and some uneven surfaces, slippery shower etc.

The decor and ambience, along with the hospitality and cleanliness, are very good. Our room had a balcony right adjacent that looked out on the St. Lawrence. Pictures are somewhat deceptive - the buildings they show as visible from there, are not. Artisanal and somewhat eccentric furnishings, but some things are not maintained well - eg bathroom window that was half hanging loose and wouldn’t close. Slightly annoying that they insist on only eating at the main common room dining table, but provide nothing there except a fridge, water and kettle. If all this is okay with you, I would recommend it, but research other places nearby as there are many.

We received a warm welcome even though we arrived quite late in the evening. The next morning we were given a second welcome, with info about good places to eat and local amenities. The gite is very clean and the owners and staff are welcoming. The gite is close to the tourist area and features a second floor balcony so we could sit and "people watch" or read our books or have a drink and snacks. There is a lot of parking, hot water and the common areas are large. The hosts have thoughtfully provided useful items like plates, bowls, cups, kettle, etc. for guests' use. This is a great place to stay, but I would not recommend it for people with small children... there are too many fun decorations. Also, for older people, there are stairs and many area rugs.

We absolutely loved our stay at Gîte au Vieux Pommier! The living room was cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the lake. Even though we had a shared bathroom, it was always clean and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable. The host was truly exceptional—warm, cheerful, and incredibly welcoming. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home and brighten your day with their kindness and energy. It felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel. The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to the heart of Tadoussac. We can’t recommend this place enough. If you're visiting Tadoussac, Gîte au Vieux Pommier is the perfect mix of comfort, charm, and warm hospitality. - three of kind
