"The room was really clean, the staff were really nice and helpful, while I didn’t eat here the bar and dining area were super clean and looked beautiful. The whole place was decorated really nicely. In my room they even had a chair that was big enough for me to comfortably sit in which is rare given that I’m morbidly obese so it was a very pleasant surprise. Finally to say that I got the BEST night sleep of my life here is an understatement, when they say they have blackout curtains they mean it - I woke up at mid day and briefly couldn’t figure out if it was day or night. I will ABSOLUTELY be staying here again when I’m next staying in Peterborough."

"I had a single room, room was cold as the boiler was faulty. Large window in that room and the wind was blowing through, thick curtains didn’t help. Staff were friendly and help. Morning breakfast was large and great, very enjoyable. But there where no weekend evening meals at the Hotel"

"We have stayed here quite a few times now, our welcome is usually happy and warm, this time the member of staff was cold and uninterested. We are members, our account was not linked, we have never paid for parking in the past, this time it was demanded (however, on our astonishment the member of staff removed the charge) this is a stealth charge, a huge carpark out of the city centre should not be chargeable for hotel guests, this is disgusting! We normally love this hotel because it has easy uber links to the centre whilst still providing country walks, the staff are usually extrememly welcoming and interested in making your stay fantastic this time it felt flat and uneasy on arrival. Our room was as usual, and fairly clean however, the major fail of our stay this time was the duvet and cover, the duvet was miles too small for the cover this meant my husband was covered but i was covered only by the duvet cover not the duvet, i did not sleep. I reported this to the front desk on departure she said that they are available 24 hours, i said that in the middle of the night this would not have been an option, she offered a drink, we were leaving for a walk, it would not have been an appropriate resolve, i declined. Breakfast was good and extensive we really enjoyed this as usual. We are staying again in July and bringing my parents for birthday celebrations, i really hope we have the experiences we have been used to in the past, a warm welcome and a comfortable nights sleep."

"First, I called the hotel a day prior to our arrival and a receptionists named Chloe was very polite, kind and able to help us with our booking that we made through Expedia. When we arrived, it was Chloe who helped and informed us about the hotel, amenities, carpark and room booking. She is very knowledgeable. Thank you Chloe. The Room that was given to us was a family room which is very clean, comfortable beds, with two big mirrors and a comdortable single sofa seat which added to the elegance of the room. The toilet is very clean and looks amazing. There is a telephone, television, iron and ironing board, several bottles of water, kettle and sachets for hot drinks, hair dryer, lamps, portable heater and electric fan readily available to use. The carpark is just behind the hotel but there is small road that separate the hotel from the car park. Just be careful and always keep an eye with cars passing from your right when going to the car park. When leaving the car park, you need to get a code from the receptionist. We also met a very friendly cleaner named Christy Galer who prepared the room and we were amazed how clean and organized our family suite, bathroom and toilet. Before leaving the hotel amd handed back the keys of the room, I met another kind and friendly receptionist names Helen who also help us with our checking out. I am very impress and will recommend this 13th century Hotel. Great Price, Great Amenities with Excellent Staff. We love our room thank you very m"

"Friendly welcome, check-in desk in an awkward place, feel like your in the way of the bar staff or customers queuing the bar. Causing an obstruction with suitcases for someone wherever you stand. Room spacious and clean, plenty of tea, cofee milk etc provided. Had dinner, which was good and even had a go at the quiz! Breakfast the following morning was ok. There seemed to be some sort of staff meeting going on at one part of the dining room, and so there wasnt much instruction on what to do with regards helping yourself to tea or coffee etc, or care taken to provide much of a service, ordered at the bar, i had an omelette and it tasted a bit burnt in places. Server looked like she was the only one working and hence why maybe she didnt look happy to be there, but she wasnt rude at least. "
