A stunning place to stay! The tower rooms are suitable for couples; with beautiful bedroom + bathroom and small kitchenette. The viewing area at the top of the tower, equipped with sheepskin rugs and pillows is an awesome place to watch the Northern Lights. The owner lives nearby and is friendly and informative he was once a chicken farmer - now practicing and teaching Taoism. That's Iceland for you. The tower is in easy striking distance of the Grand Circe and South Coast sights.

Lovely, small hotel. Rooms modern, stylish, very warm and wonderfully clean. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive - nothing was too big or small for their kind attention, efficient. Continental breakfast plentiful and fresh, tea and coffee available in small but stylish lounge 24/7. I want to go back in the summer and will book this hotel again and have no hesitation in recommending it to all my friends.

Staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, and rooms were nice and comfortable. I opted not to eat in the restaurant as I thought I'd be pushed for time to have breakfast before some of the organised tours starting at 8am, and generally decided to eat elsewhere in Reykjavik for dinner. A lovely hotel, centrally located on Laugevegur. Although we’d emailed ahead to pay for early check in, our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but we were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room and explore the city. Laugevegur is a pedestrian street in the part where the hotel is so it isn’t possible to be picked up or dropped off directly outside. Hotel Laxnes is located in Haholt which is about a 15 minute drive from Reyakvic. The views from the bedroom was stunning and there are plenty of facilities close by e.g. supermarket, pub and bakery. There is a bus stop just outside of the hotel and the number 15 and 6 go into Reyakvic, so it's easy to get into Reyakvic. The hotel was very clean and was cleaned everyday during our stay. We had the 2 bed apartment for our first night in Iceland. Free parking for our rental car very handy. Apartment was large, spacious, very clean and everything in the kitchen we needed. Walking distance to all the bars, restaurants and sightseeing in Reykjavik.
