"We had a lovely stay. Our room was perfect for us….lovely comfy bed and a small courtyard where we had dinner delivered! We were lucky that the weather was very warm too. Our dogs were very happy and calm and safe there . I would happily recommend this room (2) for anyone travelling with dogs. Thank you Wynnstay and staff, you made our trip really comfortable."

"The room was brill for me as a single room but was updated to a Twin room which was excellent,and all the staff,waitresses,bar and reception could not be more welcoming especially whe you are on your own. Could not fault"

"The property was pet friendly and my dog was made welcome. Lovely beer garden at rear which we were able to take advantage of due to the warm and sunny weather during our stay. Only a short walk (about 15 minutes) from the train station and and a lovely big park across the road from the hotel. Not much in Chirk though, with little more than cafes and bistros and bus service looks poor (up to 3hours apart judging by the timetables where provided) compared with other parts of Wales we’ve visited"

"Room was very limited on space, but well thought out. Bed was adequate but not the most comfortable. There was only 1/2 a toilet roll supplied for a 3 night stay, no shower in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom fell off a couple of times. The balcony was nice to sit out on."

"Stayed for one night, with my son, for a Mazda MX5 car meet up in the car park- the reason for our stay. The hotel is very nice. We had a meal in the Savvy Fox - i like the decor. The meal was very nice - but not cheap. The twin room was very basic, but was clean and adequate for a one night stay. The beds were very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. "The room we had was fairly run down. In particular it had a strong and unpleasant odour. At first we thought having the windows open would help. But part way through the night the smell was so terrible we were awake. In the morning we realised it must have been mildew and mold.
