The Sofitel is well located in Strasbourg, close to all the major attractions and public transport. The staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel is somewhat worn in places with stained carpets in corridors and room lobbies. Bed was clean and comfortable and the room was quiet.

Great stay!

We stayed for 2 nights as a family of four. Hotel: It is an old hotel and the carpet has seen better days. If you use the sofa bed for kids you have very limited room for luggage. BUT, the service was excellent, the amenities was good, the bed nice. I really liked the hotel overall.

Would not recommend, try any other 3 star hotel

Staff were nice and housekeeping was great (very clean), this review is about the condition of the hotel. The hotel definitely doesn’t feel like ‘5 stars’; dated & run down, musty/damp room smell that doesn’t go away, a lot of ambient HVAC background noise. Won’t be booking Sofitel by default again for a while.

The Sofitel was in a safe quiet area of Strasbourg but convenient to everything. The Cathedral was a 10 minute walk as were all the shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was the best. The staff was very helpful. 5 Stars

Perfect stay in a Perfect Place

The staff was professional and very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located near the Christmas markets and in a beautiful area, the hotel couldn’t have been a better choice for us. We also loved that they have their own little Christmas market right outside the doors. Décor is lovely. We particularly loved the large stork mobile hanging in the lobby!

Strasbourg Stay

Room was very comfortable and hotel well located. Food in hotel restaurant (both buffet breakfast and dinner) was excellent as was the service. The only thing that should be changed is the carpeting in the room — it was looking its age and should be replaced with flooring that is easier to clean.

This is a wonderful hotel! This was our second time staying at this property. The staff is exceptional! They went above and beyond at checkout to get us to our departure bus at the train station so we would not miss out flight. I cannot thank them enough. Wonderful service! Would stay here again and again!

Amazing location. Close to everything. But it definitely could use some facelift. Everything is old and worn down. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The I e rink was a big plus with the kids

The location of the hotel is perfect, the restaurant is delicious, the staff were all great.... But the maintenance of the rooms is shaky. Things like painting and tilework were done by pretty unskilled tradespeople.

The location in the old town is great for walking, however the streets are closed during the Christmas markets so we had to wheel our luggage a few blocks to the hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The propery is a bit run down and in need of refurbishment. Our bathroom sink was cracked, the vanity had a gash in it, the carpet was worn and the towels were a bit dingy and scratchy. The buffet breakfast was very good.
