    I have stayed before , it’s very cheap and it’s en suite , I would stay agsin for price - they have an issue in the loft pf the property with vermin either rats or pigeons I have noticed that every time I have stayed - the pub is nice and serves great food downstairs - the rooms just feel like an after thought and not really a hotel .

    Perfect location. Bus stop and train station are close by. Property run down and in need of repairs. You get what you pay for! No internet in the rooms only in the pub next door. Can hear pigeons outside and sounded like something was in the loft.

    Shocking, even at the price point of £40:00. No matching bedding, toilet ran all Night. The System continued fill with water. The furniture was way passed its sell by date, two of the drawers had NO BOTTOM to them. The pillows were very thin, I have thicker pillow protectors at home. The best thing was it was 4 minutes walk to the train station to get away and back to LONDON. Oh and did I mention the pigeons in the hotel loft space. Sorry to say I would not stay there again.

    Me and my partner stayed for the weekend and enjoyed the hotel which was very spacious and the bed was comfy. The food in the pub was also amazing and would definitely book again

    For the price you are getting a private room and private bathroom, you can come and go as you please all which I found ideal, location is also good. Clean bed and linen, clean towels, good shower. No TV, staff won’t help, never fixed or alternative provided, requested reasonable 10-15% refund no response or reply. Grubby, level of cleanliness is poor, wash basin, drawers, stairs into property etc. Toilet cistern runs continuously making noise. Very noisy at night, constant repeated door slamming from pub attached, quiet in the morning. If you can stand the above then okay for the price …

    Get what you pay for

    The hotel was fine for what was paid for , it’s a busy pub and nice restaurant and feels like the rooms are an after thought not really the focus of the business . The staff were polite , the area was nice with amenities nearby . I would stay again

    I have stayed before in this place - just on this occasion very slow to get in my room and no towels and it was dirty this time . I would stay again though

    A good place to stay

    This is above a pub 2 minutes from the station. Eaglescliffe is a nice place to stay though there isn't much around the station to look at. The hotel is a bit basic but clean and good value for money.

    Basic accommodation

    The accommodation was basic, there was no chair in the room and only one light switch was put on all the lights. A bit cold in the night. The chef was on holiday so no food was available. Very handy for the station.

    Nice hidden gem

    The room was spatious, clean and had all the basic amenities. I was pleasantly surprised considering the price and I'd definately stay again when I'm in the area. Food in the pub was also smashing, decently priced homemade food and you get a generous serving. Service was quick and staff friendly.

    Basic backstreet boozer.

    The TV did not work and staff unable to fix. The pub was very basic and did not sell real ale, so I watched TV in the pub without a drink! Rooms adequate but single bed very short for the taller person. Not much in the vicinity, unless you go into Stockton.

    Solid comfy stay , could do with an update .

    Lady doing check in was lovely , super friendly and helpful . Couple of issues resolved quickly after a few laughs . TV positioning and size bizarre . Would recommend displaying WIFI login details in the rooms in future . Room needs a bin , not just a bathroom bin . Good close parking, big spacious room with a nice comfy sofa . Lots of potential in room , but in need of updating .

    The electrics felt like i was going to rip them out of the wall as they were not secured in correctly. there were huge cobwebs and dust gathered quite a few places. The shower had a broken hose. The flap to the chimney bangs every time it is slightly windy so don't bother getting any sleep!! Where can i add photos?

    Disappointed

    One of the worst places ive stayed, i waa looking for a base to work from when ive got jobs in the area. Checking in was easy and so was the parking. As soon as i went through the main door of the accommodation part i knew it was going to be bad. No working tv. Foisty smell. Lights not working properly. Very dated and dirty bed covers. I ended up sleeping with my clothes on on top of the quilt. There are much better places locally.

    Too hot to sleep.

    When we first arrived in our room, the stands and some of the floor were covered in bird feces. The girl from the bar came up and cleaned the areas, then I wiped them down with an antibacterial cloth. The room was hot and stuffy, though the window had been open, which is how the pigeons got in. There was no fan available to move any of the semi cool air from outside into the room, nor was there any air moving, so the room remained hot and stuffy all night. There wasn't even a fan in the bathroom! The TV did not work, we could get sound, at times, but no picture. We did get internet. There was a store across the road. The room was spacious and "clean". I'm not sure if the bed was comfortable, as we didn't sleep well, if at all due to the extreme heat and stuffiness of the room.
