The location is fantastic! Free parking a major plus. My room was clean and updated . My only, but big complaint was that my room had an odor that hit you in the face the second you walked in. I managed to deal with it as I only had a one night stay. Even though I had a non-smoking room, the odor of stale cigarettes was evident. And, I guess some product was used to cover it up and added to the odor

The location of the property is excellent, as it's easily walkable to the University (less than 5 minutes) and right in the heart of downtown. The free parking is also a perk. However, the cleanliness of the hotel left a lot to be desired. The HVAC unit was filthy, and I had to take a few minutes to wipe the dust off the interior of the unit. The shower/tub drained poorly, which didn't make for the best bathing experience. It was advertised as having "free breakfast", but unlike many of the options in the area which include a full breakfast, this was coffee/tea, a few juice options, and Otis Spunkmeyer muffins. There were no hot breakfast options. On the plus side, the bed was quite comfortable.

Surprising Comfortable

Front desk staff super friendly and went above and beyond. This was 1st time staying at this Days Inn. It is super close to PSU campus as you can walk everywhere. The indoor pool was really clean. Wished it was heated warmer but very clean and relaxing. Room was nicely updated and had fridge and coffee pot. Microwave available to use in lobby. Happy that our non-smoking room didnt smell like smoke like some other hotels do. Overall we were surprised this was a Days Inn as we normally dont stay at Days Inn. We enjoyed this stay and will be back in the future.

Fantastic location.

Great location just a couple blocks from old main and surrounded by restaurants and bars. The only knock was the heater made the occasional rattle throughout the night waking us up.

I was unprepared for the noise - the walls provided almost no noise barrier. I felt like I was in a college dorm. There was loud music, partying kids, screaming in hallways, etc. It was so bad that I left and drove a significant distance to another hotel and did not even attempt to sleep there (sleep would have been impossible). Probably a fun place for a student to stay but for anyone attempting sleep, not good.

Nice Place/Great Location...No Room Cleaning

I realize Covid protocols are still (sort-of) in place but it is disappointing to pay the same price for a room and not have the room cleaned while we were there. Still a nice hotel and a great location. We had two cars so I had to park in garage nearby. Would definitely come back

Had a great experience!

Me and a friend went to visit Penn State where we went to college together. The hotel was within walking distance to campus and was very reasonably priced. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Checking in and out was very quick and the staff was pleasant. I would definitely stay here again!
