"Lovely property with a great location. Downtown Halifax very walkable from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful."

"The room was clean, though the wastebasket near the fridge was half full when we arrived. The room was well outfitted, but a little tight on space. The bathroom was modern and clean, but there was no shelf space at all in the bathroom. Neighbors upstairs were quite loud coming in at 11 pm. Location was great for easy walk to the waterfront, restaurants and shops as well as up to the public gardens."

"The room was very modern, comfortable and clean. It was very close to the waterfront, where we spent most of our time while there. We didn't care for the barn door on the bathroom. It was a bit noisy. The flooring in the bathroom looked dirty, but I think it was just the flooring material that was used. "Hotel was very clean. Rooms very spacious. Easy in and out . Elevators handy. Location is great- only negative waa the noise from the bar across the road which was insane lasting to 3 am in the morning. Breakfast was good."

"When we checked in, we never got a hospitality bag like others did also our room was never cleaned on the second night. They provided towels garbage bag so we had to do it ourselves. Had to call down cause we had no hot water had to wait two hours before we got some. On checkout they charged us another $250 instead of refund $250. We missed our breakfast because we had to hurry up and grab our flight. Besides all of that, it’s a nice hotel."

"Overall 3.5/5 The room was clean and quite spacious, although the bed nook was a bit awkward to get in and out of. It is in a decent part of town (north end) with lots of cute cafe’s near by without the hype of ‘downtown’. The feel is very much like an Airbnb. Access to the property was easy. There is no staff per-se and check in is all digital. Easy to navigate and well communicated. There is, at the time of this review, no long term parking on the street. When I mentioned that my wife and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary during our 8 day stay at the Homewood Suites in Halifax several staff went the distance to make our stay extra special and memorable. "We stayed at this property ahead of moving our son into his university dorm. It was a perfect location, easy to get everywhere and a grocery store only a 5 minute walk. There was plenty of room to store our things and we really appreciated the covered car port. The house was very clean and the owners responsive. We would not hesitate to stay here again. My only suggestion to future guests would be to bring some sugar packets if you like it in your coffee :)"
