"I could not use the tub because being physically challenged. The first person at the desk was not helpful. However when I went back and mentioned that I saw on line that they had rooms with stand-up showers, the second person at the desk arranged for me to be moved. While the new room was a four step upgrade whic they offered for free, it looked very tired. Called the desk to say the toilet was flushing ver slowly. When we came back from supper the toilet had overflowed and a large fan was on to dry up the carpet. The pool was inoperative. No tissue in the box when we arrived. I even put the empty box on top so it could be replenished. Was not after two days. No conditioner in the dispenser. Beds were not made"

"Exterior of property was certainly unattractive, but the interior of the room was renovated and clean. Walls were bare and floor was “wood/like” tile. The door was old and the locks stubborn (need be replaced IMO). A/C was a window unit installed through the wall - adequate on a not-so-hot day/night. Location was great and near many diverse restaurants- as this motel offers no food service (except soft drinks for sale in the office that is always closed ( you can summon a clerk by ringing the doorbell Overall adequate but barely two-star."

"Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable canoe rentals, beautiful lawn and playground for the kids, and the hosts are so nice, great at communication! This is our second year visiting and we WILL be back!"

"The accommodations were pretty good. Cost me $60 for two burgers and two fries to go from the restaurant below. And took them 50 minutes to make. There were about 10 people in the restaurant."
