Amazing hosts, beautifully presented accommodation in a stunning old chapel. The best scrambled eggs for breakfast I have ever tasted! Highly recommend. Thank you, Gail and Richard
Tracey and Richard are great hosts. Very friendly, great facilities in the room and Richard’s full English breakfast is absolutely amazing, one, if not the best I have ever had. Car park on site and outside seating with a bar. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a trip to this area.
We loved our stay, thank you Sharon for a fabulous breakfast every day, and wonderful service! The bacon was the best ever. Lovely to meet. Yiu both. Beautiful home
An amazing b&b. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Everything you need for a perfect stay with a kettle, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner , soaps and hand and body moisturiser. The tv had extra channels as well. Catch up etc. Breakfast was cooked to order and was lovely. Everywhere was very clean and comfortable. Positioned on a main road there was easy access to st austell, the eden project and the lost gardens of heligan. There us also a pub jyst up the road with super friendly customers. A place to stay to relax and unwind. Vety friendly owners too.
A very enjoyable stay, the bedroom was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast were excellent. I will definitely stay again and recommend to my family and friends
We had a great stay. Tracey was very inviting and wanted to ensure we had a nice stay. The house is in great shape and spotless. Our room was very nice. Parking was breeze . Would highly recommend

Friendly owners, spotless and comfortable room, and delicious breakfast. What’s not to like? And free parking.
A nice overnight stay as part of a road trip. Lovely room and lovely bedding and linen. Nice team and coffee choices including hot chocolate. Bathroom adequate for its size, Nice shower. A wonderful breakfast with a great choice. Rooms in a separate part to where the hosts reside which is nice to come n go without feeling like you disturb the hosts. Overall a lovely stay with nice hospitality. Had WIFI in the room which was a real bonus. There was some noise from the road if the cars were driving too fast however this did not detract from my stay.
Highly reccomended for anyone planning a stay in the area. An old chapel which has been converted, the rooms are very modern and comfortable. The folks operating it were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome during our stay.
We stayed here after restrictions were lifted to allow hotels to open. We’ve stayed before, and knew things would be a bit different to normal.
Debbie and Andy have worked really hard to minimise the impact to guests’ experiences whilst ensuring safety for everyone!!
Temperatures were taken on arrival, face masks are requested to be worn in the hallways and hand sanitisation stations are in place. It’s different, but if it wasn’t, we’d have been concerned!!
Importantly, the rooms are still as comfy as ever (first night’s sleep in a different bed for 4 months and slept like a baby!!), breakfast is still delicious and Andy and Debbie are still wonderful hosts!
We were in room 1 - some reviews mentioned a loud macerator in room 1’s bathroom, but this has been upgraded during lockdown. With the bathroom door closed, you can’t hear anything from the bedroom!!
This place is also perfect for the Eden Project (10min drive), which is also managing social distancing very effectively with a time slot booking system!
The hosts were lovely, nothing was too much trouble and they had good local knowledge of places to visit or eat. The guest house was spotless and our room was very comfortable. If we visit that area again we will certainly try and get a room at the Chapel Guest House, not just for its central location for places to visit but for the peace of mind that the accommodation will be great.
A really nice and pleasant stay. We were only there for one night but would definitely use again if we were going to stay in the area again. The couple running it were very nice and welcoming. N.B. The breakfast was lovely 👍
Just stayed one night and were impressed with the standard of our accommodation. The room (no 3) was well equipped and thought out the on suite was very clean with an excellent shower. Outside of the room the conversion from a chapel had been well executed with spacious and light landings and communal areas resisting the temptation to maximize the number of paying rooms. Finally the breakfast was cooked with the finest ingredients and to perfection.
Alan was helpful on local information with out being intrusive.
St Austell itself is nothing to write home about but this B&B is ideally located for The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Charleston and Mevagissey. If you're happy to drive a little further Padstow, Newquay and Fowey are under an hour and we even made the Minack Theatre in under two hours.
The room was very good with a comfy bed and spotlessly clean. Good choice of breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts.
We had a lovely 1 week stay. Comfortable, very clean, and excellent breakfasts with choices. Andy and Debby where so nice and very helpful. They made us very welcome. We would choose to stay with them again if we go to Cornwall in the future.
