"The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. I would have liked more pillows is my only criticism. We only stayed one night and we didn't eat but from our short stay I would recommend the Mercure. "

"Had a nice stay at the hotel which is in a good location for Christmas shopping. Breakfast was very nice. Only downside was that the music from the Christmas parties at the hotel was quite noisy in our room."

"We stayed at Lanelay Hall on 07 December and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the hall looked beautiful with its festive Christmas decorations, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our Deluxe King room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom was equally immaculate. A lovely touch was the welcome card and petite fours, which made us feel valued as returning guests.
After settling in, we enjoyed some time in the bar/lounge. It’s a relaxed setting with stylish décor and an inviting fireplace – perfect for unwinding. There was a good range of drinks at reasonable prices, and the service was excellent.
Dinner at the restaurant was a highlight. Despite being very busy, we were seated promptly and the food was outstanding, just as we remembered. After a few more drinks, we headed back to our room for a great night’s sleep.
Overall, Lanelay Hall offers a wonderful combination of comfort, great service, and excellent dining. We look forward to returning again soon."
