Fire alarm was set off but was a broken water pipe wich then turned my Bath water a brown colour we paid to stay for two days but left after one day waste of money to be honest and was for my birthday

Unexpectedly spacious, good decor, comfortable throughout the hotel. The staff in all areas were polite, helpful & welcoming. Would definitely stay here again & would certainly recommend this hotel!

Good but….
Great hotel, very clean and modern. Only issue was we was accidentally charged £70. After speaking to reception this was sorted out immediately and they apologised for the mistake. Rooftop bar is a lovely touch, especially as you can watch the planes coming in.

I liked staying at this hotel, only draw back for me was the bath was so deep I could not get out of it, next time I shall ask for a room with a walk in shower, this is no reflection on the hotel just me getting old

Generally, a good all hotel.
Great hotel. Vegetarian options for breakfast could do with an uplift. Had to specifically request vegetarian sausages which took a. While to arrive. They were dry when they did.

It is a lovely hotel . Our room overlooked Southend airport which was lovely with all the lights. However our room 411 had a “toilet” problem inasmuch as the loo was on an angle and it made terrible squeaks and groans . We did report it when we left

Nice room and bathroom. Some issues with broken curtain and bathroom light. Staff grumpy and unfriendly particularly in bar and restaurant which was chaotic. Dinner and service well below par though breakfast buffet was good.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn for 1 night after returning from a Wedding booked in at midnight and the man on reception was welcoming and friendly explained about breakfast at what time it was available and where to find the restaurant. The room was a good size and very clean with everything you need in it a safe, ironing board and iron and tea & coffee making facilities and very quiet so you get a good nights sleep. The bathroom was of good size also with bath with a shower and the most lovely smelling toiletries in there everything you would need. The breakfast was really good lots to eat on the buffet we had the full English Breakfast there was also a lot of other choices such as cereals, yoghurts, cakes, fruit, toast etc. The staff were all very efficient and friendly. Check out was quick and offered to call us a taxi which we accepted. Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.
