"This property is an amazing place to stay. All of the staff is amazing. The rooms were awesome. The restaurant was great and it gave you a feel of living out in a quiet part of Italy rather than the big city feel. Highly recommend this as a place to stay."

"Staff was not as available via phone/physically and this place being in a semi remote old fishing village of southern italy where a corolla type size car or larger cannot get down (golf carts are kind of available for guests to use during certain hours to get 3/4 mile of the way up where the parking lot if, was not ideal when traveling with a family and a small child. Room had a beautiful view and basic amenities were available."

"The location of the hotel was not good for us. We were a twenty minute shuttle ride from the Sorrento City center. Dinner & Spa treatments were very expensive. The hotel seemed to be full of old rich people who were not interested in exploring the town. I think for the price there are better options in much better locations."

"Nice hotel. A little removed from central Sorrento but hotel is quiet, clean with comfortable beds, large rooms, clean fresh modern decor and a nice garden. Food is expensive and not that great in “Happyissimo” restaurant. Seasonal unheated outdoor pool is nice but closed if weather is cool. Indoor pool is opened when outdoor pool is closed but criteria for switch seems arbitrary. It isn’t always clear which pool is open early in the season (May). Breakfasts good."

"Before we even arrived the staff helped to organise flowers, fruit, and sweets in our room as a surprise for my wife. Accompanied by both a personal message from myself and another from the hotel. The room is immaculate. Lovely towels refreshed twice a day, the breakfast and evening food is both diverse and delicious. "We stayed for 3 nights in May while visiting Italy. I can't say enough positive things about the Ara Maris. We were in a room overlooking the rear pool/garden with a private hot tub. We did not miss viewing the sea as we'd seen it throughout the day. The room was spacious and we especially appreciated the double sinks and the separate water closet. The room was well appointed (above and beyond other 5 stars) with flip flops, tote for the pool and a Dyson hair dryer. Appreciated the fresh...
