"Good for a one night stop off, staff were friendly on arrival"

"We stayed at this hotel twice in two different rooms. First we booked the deluxe room and everything was fantastic, the second time we booked the double room and it was not nearly as good. Room was small and the bathroom was tiny. The hotel itself however is beautiful, has a lovely peaceful garden surrounding it and the food is incredible! There is plenty of parking. Would definitely return however would make sure to book the upgraded room."

"The breakfasts were good, although they weren't included, but it was hard to get an evening meal. The room I stayed in was near the road and boiler/ air conditioning so it was very noisy so I slept very badly. The fire alarm went off early in the morning and we didn't get any information from the staff so didn't know if it was safe to return to our rooms. Although geographically it worked well I wouldn't stay there again."

Because the hotel was closed for refurbishment - and EXPEDIA failed to notify us prior to travelling - and also EXPEDIA refused to share our phone number with the hotel so they were unable to inform us in advance of our arrival - fortunately the hotel staff were able to assist us in gettinga ccomodation nearby. Unbelievably EXPEDIA is also now asking us to review our stay despite being advised - again - that the...
