"Lovely setting but no one there to give us the key even though we’d sent 2 emails requesting info regarding collection with time of arrival. Noise from 9pm TIL 4am so couldn’t sleep. Dog faeces on paths. Toilet broken. No microwave. Needs updating and cleaning of the shower room. Lounge and bedroom roomy and comfortable. "

"Room was clean but dated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very pet friendly. We stayed on a Sunday night so price was reasonable I would not stay there during the week the price is way too much for what you get."
"Clean modern and spacious room, unfortunately being woken by the tram rattling past continuously from early morning to late into the night wasn’t appreciated. Also the interior door being banged shut so many times during my stay that I woke up multiple times each night.
Reception staff (a man with Chinese heritage) when asked if I had closed my door properly by just closing it over and not having to scan the card to exit, looked me up and down and pulled the most unhelpful face, exclaiming simply “Yeah” so unfriendly, unprofessional and discourteous. However the man at checkout and woman at check in were friendly and polite, so maybe just one person who seems to need some refresher training on the reception desk.
Overall wouldn’t stay again 2/5 at best. Better hotels available in Sheffield. "
"The breakfast was great, the internet was fast, the staff were ok, and the gym was basic but adequate. The carpet in the room appeared to be old and ready to be changed, it made the room feel dirty. During my visit they were replacing fire doors so there was a bit of noise during the days but not unbearable. Very close to the trains for easy access, close to a supermarket and a retail shopping centre."
"Never stayed at an Ibis before and for the money didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. Hotel receptionist was very friendly when we checked in. I like the fact that the only way to reach the lift is by using key card so no easy access. Room was very clean and well thought out. Bathroom spotless. Only problem was the bathroom door which stuck a bit so noisy to shut if using during the night and trying not to wake your friend. Bed was twin but actually a double separated so quite close to each other but for one night not a problem and I found the bed comfortable. Plenty of sockets for gadgets. Breakfast was excellent and included in our room rate. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier. We were told service finished at 10am and even then the kitchen staff came round to each table to ask if we wanted anything more before breakfast finished. Hotel isn’t far from the main station and also the tramlines are just up the steps across the road from hotel. Couldn’t fault hotel or staff. I’ve been lucky enough to stay at 4 star hotels but this hotel was just as good as any, especially for the low price. Would definitely stay again for if planning another trip to Sheffield. "
