As with rooms above pubs it is quite noisy but pretty well sound insulated and the pub closes relatively early. Staff were pleasant, helpful yet unintrusive. The room we had did not have main lighting so was very dark even with the side lights on and if you opened the blinds people on the street could see in - especially from the flat across the road. "On arrival our room was upgraded to a large seaview room with a walk in shower which was a very nice welcome. The Pump room bar is excellent with a cozy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food both at breakfast and in the evening venues is top notch. Dining is a particular highlight which should not be missed with a very good menu expertly prepared and served to a really high standard. "
