"Location of the hostel was great and within walking distance to good bars and restaurants. Lots of parking across the street. The private room was clean and simple with two single beds but no bed table. The bathroom was functional but could use some upgrades although for a hostel it was fine considering the price we paid. We had an early flight so we couldn’t try the breakfast. The convenience for an overnight before a flight made it a good choice."

"Make sure you reach out before going booking this place. There was construction being done at all hours during the day. It is a very small place and crowded with decorations. The shower is very small and was difficult to operate when the handle was not broken. The staff was very nice and helpful but could not understand why having construction during the day or having a small shared living space was an issue. "The staff were exceptionally helpful and took wonderful care of us. Even though my children don't speak Portuguese, the team spoke fluently with them and made them feel right at home. They went above and beyond for all our needs, and the complimentary breakfast had a great variety of delicious options that the whole family enjoyed!"

"A/C was good despite rooms being a bit old and bathroom outdated. It was clean and comfy bed. Staff was excellent !! Great recommendations and help when needed. Breakfast was great and well stocked with fresh items daily. Central location to beaches and many restaurants nearby, also close the the fish market which was a great find for food, drink, many items!"

"Casa Palmela is a truly beautiful boutique hotel and an unforgettable place to stay. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such a lovely greeting, which immediately set the tone for our visit. The service throughout our stay was absolutely perfect—warm, attentive, and thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive. There are many activities on and offsite that were very easy to arrange. The hotel itself is stunning, and our room was especially beautiful. We loved the gorgeous regional tilework, which gave the space so much character, and the amazing chandelier added an elegant touch. The complimentary bottle of local red wine and cheese board waiting for us was such a generous and memorable welcome. Breakfast was another highlight, with a wonderful buffet offering plenty of delicious options, and dinner at the hotel was excellent as well. Everything about Casa Palmela felt carefully considered, charming, and special. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined and relaxing boutique hotel experience."

"Very modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They carried our luggage up the stairs (no elevator). Carolina gave us many good tips about the surroundings and restaurants. Room was extra clean. We were there in summer so AC was very welcome. We each had one suitcase and a backpack which made storage a challenge in the small room. Provided breakfast was freshly prepared and extras could be purchased."
