Our room was immaculate and the ac kept us nice and cool. The pools were great and we also used the spa which was delightful. If you're looking to stay in Ubud you should definitely stay at Alaya Resort Ubud."

Property can be better, we stayed in a 1 bedroom pool villa, alot of bugs-as expected, which the resort provided bug spray for the room. but all in all very good experience staying here. They did a special birthday decoration in our room for me as requested by my wife with a small fee. Will stay again!"

"Fantastic location right in the heart of the monkey forest. You get the benefit of stepping out of the lobby onto the main streets with easy access to all the shops and restaurants whilst stepping into the resort grounds and feeling secluded in the beautiful jungle. The staff were so warm and helpful. And the breakfast was amazing. Particularly loved the egg station. We stayed in a two bedroom villa and it was exceptional. The pool was a great size."

"Positives – Location is good to access other amenities such several good restaurants that are very reasonable, and temples to visit. The hotel had lush green gardens and a clean swimming pool. The craft market is across the road from the hotel. Negatives - The first room we had booked was terrible with a leaky toilet wetting the bathroom floor. Sheets were worn and stained, my wife refused to sleep in the bed and eventually slept with her clothes on. Access to this room was difficult and down some very steep stairs. The room was in a general state of disrepair but as we arrived very late we waited till the morning to ask for a room change and was given another room which was marginally better and paid an extra £20. This had new bedding and was a bigger room with a balcony. However, the bathroom sink tap leaked and was hard to operate and the shower area needed a deep clean. The alleyway to the hotel was littered with open refuse sacks every day when we were there, which is very off putting, and we fed this back to them. We didn’t mind the place being a little ‘tired’ but the lack of cleanliness disappointing. If more attention was paid to the cleanliness this would be a good hotel to stay at. "
