No idea how this hotel got a 9.2 rating other than how centrally located it is in the old city. First room was musty and had no windows, paid 500 baht a night on site for upgrade, the next room was better but bed was like sleeping on sheet of plywood. I prepaid 2 night but only stayed for 1. The Empress Hotel Chiang Mai
Bathroom - No Shower Pan. Bath tub bathing was sort of complusory, which became very difficult with corded shower. They should upgrade their bathrooms in totality.
