This beautiful property was recently purchased by a lovely woman who is in the process of renovating it. It's located in a safe, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the Luquillo Kiosks and local beaches. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was clean. The best was how friendly and nice everyone was. We would definitely return.

The property was beautiful, and we wished we could've stayed longer. We wanted to take a night swim in the pool, but noticed that there was no lighting in the pool itself or surrounding it so we opted not to. Other than the pool lighting the room and whole place was clean and the morning coffee/tea and cereal was a nice treat!

We stayed for 4 nights. It was dated but comfortable. Beds could use some slip guards on the legs though. Great location for daily walks to the kiosks for dinner. Price was on point for what was expected and received.

I like that was a b&b. The hotel was not finish. The beds were very hard. The shower had no rails to hold on and shower had an inclination plus slipery. All the doors were hallow, very noisy. And the other clients were fighting all night.

The view from our 2 bedroom suite was absolutely breathtaking!! The best feature of this property. Had two balconies, which was lovely! Pool area clean but very sparse. No hot tub (they did not advertise that there was one). King bed very comfortable. The double beds, meh! No lamps by the beds, which was rough if you like to read in bed at night. Asked for room Service on day 4 expecting clean sheets. No service whatsoever. On day 5 they came and exchanged towels,.didn't change sheets as I had hoped due to sand, nor did they pick up bath mat. The staff claimed I would have needed to specify specifically 'new sheets', even though I asked for Maid Service, not just clean towels.Shampoo dispenser, but no conditioner, so come prepared.. The staff was friendly. Expected BEACH chairs as advertised. Nope. Just the chairs by the pool. The neighborhood was a bit 'rough'. I think the use of the word Boutique in the name of the hotel is a stretch! Selva is not to be considered luxury by an means. Seemed like a clean Mom and Pop hotel. All in all our particular suite's view was unmatchable!! But explicitly ask for that type of room, if you want a nice view. Noticed that staff don't answer the phone when you call in. And the voice message greeting is in Spanish! Texting worked.

We stayed three nights and the facility was very clean, with easy parking, and the staff were fantastic! We loved the location right on the water and adjacent to the public Luquillo Beach and food Kioskos. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel provided coffee and light breakfast options. I would also recommend Luquillo Beach Bakery, only a couple blocks away - it was AMAZING!! We ate there twice. We will definitely be booking this place again!

First off I want to thank the staff who were very helpful and made my trip even better… Ok so I don’t write reviews but this hidden gem is perfect especially for the money and peace of mind. Before booking this trip I looked at the reviews, and in my opinion the ones who were leaving bad reviews need to knock it off seriously, If you looking for the Ritz Carlton spend the money, and don’t knock this one… you don’t need to rent a car if you do that’s up to you everything I was looking for was literally a 10 min walk I highly recommended and I will definitely be back

The room and bed was comfortable, the staff was great. The shower was great, the balcony was an added bonus. Coffee and snacks in the morning was nice. The parking was very easy and convenient. The only thing I would say is that the pictures of the beach is a little misleading on the website. It is a rocky beach, no access in walkable distance that we could see. However there is a marvelous beach across from the Kiosks in Liquillo that I highly recommmend. I would stay here again for sure.

This hotel would be okay if it cost around $50 per night but it certainly is not worth the $112 that I paid. The bed/mattress is very basic and looks at least 10 years old. The water in the shower is horrible. It goes from super hot to cold, and back and forth constantly and never stabilizes. So you’re yelling from scorching water and then 3 seconds later the water is freezing without even touching the knobs. The light in the room didn’t work… and when it did work it would flash like a strobe light. So the only light source we had was a small table lamp that had a spider in it. The good things were the parking was convenient and the hotel provided coffee and snacks in the morning. They also have a thing in the lobby for filtered water.

La Selva is a convenient small hotel located right on the water (not a beach). The closest swimable beach is Luquillo a 10 minute drive east. Mine was an overnight stay and La Selva was a fine solution. The bed was firm and very comfortable, room (a double) was good sized and had a small balcony facing the pool/ocean. Strong ocean waves crash on centuries-old stones at the foot of this boutique hotel. What a view! But a large public beach with all amenities is just 5 min walk away. And a plaza with restaurants and shops is next to the beach. The hotel has everything for a short stay: an air conditioned room with TV, Roku, and a balcony, a pool, drinkable water and ice in the lobby, continental breakfast (coffee with creamery and sugar, two types of crackers, apples and bananas). It is quiet, and only waves might bother someone at night).

this place was a little gem. We absolutely loved it. Only thing i would recommend is some attention to cleanliness at the pool area. But it was such a cute little hotel on the oceanfront and walking distance to the beach. What a beautiful view to wake up to. We absolutely loved it. I want to return with more time. Instructions give for late check in was very helpful. Bathroom was nice. View spectacular. Bed comfy. More pillows would be nice. but loved it.
