Property email me it cancelled when I arrived on time, tried to contact by message but no response and call won’t answers, expedia won’t refund back to me because of their policy. Absolutely shocked! Beware of elm apartments and must investigate!

Property was actually lovely, really happy with the apartment. Unfortunately, we felt slightly unsafe most of the stay. The key lock box was opened whilst we were in the apartment making us feel anxious. No communication during this time sadly, after voicing concerns. Shower head was not attached in the bathroom which is just inconvenient. Fire alarms going off 8 times between 1am-2am resulting in no sleep and debating leaving the property at 2am.

The property is poorly maintained, poorly equipped, very dirty and there was no hot water. They attempted to fix the hot water but didn’t manage. No attempt was made to rectify the cleanliness issues. The lock to the bathroom door could only be used if the door was not actually closed. The bath and shower and sink area were filthy. No tea towel or kitchen towel was provided. There were filthy knives in the knife block and the kitchen cupboards were not clean. There were dirty spills on the walls not cleaned. Stains all over the carpets. The beds were not comfortable and the ventilation poor. The communal areas were also very dirty and no designated smoking area meant we had to walk through smoke with the children at the main entrance. The property was not secure with the main entrance being propped open and the key locks having the same code for every apartment. There was also a discarded mattress in the grounds. It is a shame because the building is an old building that has been converted with beautiful windows and so much more could be made of the property. The photos on Expedia MISREPRESENT the quality of the property and the price charged is far too high. I would NOT say this property is appropriate for children to stay at.
