Lovely stay - very good food (Dinner and Breakfast). Large room, comfortable bed and excellent shower (digital temperature controlled). Helpful staff. Large carpark - suitable for Airport stays too. Quiet area.

Room was nice and comfortable but bathroom let it down, toilet had not been flushed and was full of toilet paper, cold shower would not heat up tried everything and then basin in shower was blocked and filled with water quickly. Still a lovely old pub

Fantastic little place in a nice village. Super friendly staff that make you feel extremely welcome and take the time to make conversation with you. Good food, nice clean rooms. Will definitely be returning when business brings me back to the area.

The governors Andy & Carol & all the staff are so friendly & hospitality second to none. The regulars also such lovely people too, dog friendly, the food was exceptionally good, great choice of craft beers, very clear & comfortable rooms, excellent location to Stanstead Airport, great function rooms to. 5 * rating from me a very happy guest indeed 👍

Great setting next to pretty village green, great breakfast, comfortable bed. Some attention needed to facilities, eg shower drainage, potholes near building, needed to request several basic items at breakfast.

Country pub only 20 minutes from Stansted, good location for early flights. Rooms were good, beds were really comfortable and good shower. We left before breakfast started at 8am, and heard several leaving before us so it would be nice if there was a to go option of a breakfast bar, yogurt, piece of fruit etc.
