Just a terrible property, worn down, over priced, tiny rooms, awful location and staff seemed indifferent to their guests. Smallest shower I have experienced in 40 years of traveling. The only reason this place is in business has to be it’s close location to the hotel. Suggest travelers look a bit further from airport and get a nicer place with a good shuttle service to FCO.

This property is actually a shared apartment. With three tiny rooms… There is no parking and breakfast is a pack of cookies and an ancient espresso pod machine. It had The worst mattress ever! It Had indentations and the springs are horrific. Very poor stay. When I searched my stay to put in a complaint I also noticed not on my profile and I booked in Canadian dollars as always but charged usd ! So even paid a lot more than I thought for this property! ! Terrible experience!

NEVER AGAIN!

Positives: The place was a decent size, and the landlord gave us (we paid him) a ride to the airport. Negatives: second storey up, but terrible neighbouhood. People (probably on drugs) were screaming loudly all night, not allowing us to sleep prior to leaving the country the following day. In the shower, we found a couple of hairs, and the soap supplied for the shower was cheap DISH soap. The family living upstairs had a child that was thumping uncontrollably while we tried to sleep. One of the night table lamps was broken and could not be used. The breakfast was old packaged bread stuff...not tasty at all. We would not stay there again!

SCHIFEZZA TOTALE A 5 STELLE !!

Avviso a tutti i futuri clienti di Rifugio San Francesco: La stessa vende un servizio molto scorretto e di bassissimo livello di cui dice ho meglio l'inserzione di vendita, spaccia di offrire colazione gratis e parcheggio privato gratuito, poi il personale, cioè il proprietario è persona da non perdere fiducia. Dunque: sono stato nel B&B ( Rifugio San Francesco ) e/o trovato una cameretta con 3 lettini... in quanto, avevo acquistato una camera con letto matrimoniale + lettino a 95€, ma il titolare, si è inventato che chi ha venduto a me là stanza HOTELS.COM gli avrebbe reso 70€ e quindi la camera annoi concessa era quella con 3 lettini !! Ma io ho pagato per una matrimoniale + lettino.. Quindi per evitare problemi, ci sentiamo accontentati. Ma poi ci siamo accorti che il ( parcheggio privato ) era il litorale di Ostia, cioè abbiamo parcheggiato a 1 KM... per non parlare della colazione... abbiamo trovato delle fette biscottate e null'altro, neanche un caffè servito!! Alla fine della favola, sconsiglio tutti i futuri clienti di alloggiare in questa struttura Rifugio San Francesco, poiché non vale niente e sopratutto sono dei truffatori, evadendo pure le tasse----> ripeto ho pagato 95€ come indicato sopra e/a reso una fattura di 70€ inventandosi un mare di aggiri etcc... uno schifo totale... (provare per credere) e poi mi direte voi ! !

Unterkunft in Strandnähe

Leider war eine Absprache zu unserer Ankunftszeit durch die Sprachbarriere vorab telefonisch wie gewünscht nicht möglich. Darum war niemand vor Ort zum Check-In. Nach Rücksprache mit anwesenden Nachbarn und einer ca 30 minütigen Wartezeit konnte der Check-In erfolgen. Statt wie bei Expedia die angegeben 10 Nächte Tourismuspauschale, mussten wir 13 Nächte bezahlen. Die Unterkunft ist von der Einrichtung her sehr einfach und oberflächlich sauber, nicht mit deutschen Standart zu vergleichen. Absoluter Vorteil ist die Strandnähe und die sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung. Man kann mit verschiedenen Bussen, aber auch zu Fuß (ca 25 min) den Bahnhof erreichen und die Bahn Richtung Rom nehmen. Kleiner Tip- mit dem Bus des Unternehmens Cotral erreicht man für 1,30 Euro in einer halben Stunde Fiumicino, Abfahrtzeiten sind als PDF im Netz zum downloaden vorhanden.

Perfect for the right person(s).

The place was wonderful value, a bit eccentric, but perfect for the right person(s). However, the proprietor is not on site, so it is extremely important that you be as specific as possible when you are asked for your arrival time. His English is not good, but he can call his daughter if necessary.
