"We were 2 families traveling together and the room size and configuration was perfect. We ended up making our own dinner without issues in the kitchen. It was a little scary at first with the upper bunk beds because they did not have railings, but we adapted. One note to folks who are travelling with heavy luggage: there are no elevators and you will need to take your luggage to the floor you are assigned. We travelled in August so it was warm in the afternoon but the temperature cooled down overnight especially with the fan running throughout so it was actually quite cool by the morning. All and all our two families are pretty happy with the stay."

"Our room was spacious and nicely renovated. The view was absolutely amazing… we had a panoramic view of Nanaimo’s harbour. The hotel’s restaurant Minnoz was really good. We had two dinners and a breakfast there. Food and service was great. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location."

"Registration was quick and easy. The locked underground parkade was very good to have. We ate at the restaurant and the service and food were very good. The breakfast was also good- fresh baked good, cereal, toast and bags, yogurt and boiled eggs."
