"Very clean! Perfect location, view of Christmas tree in the Square! I only saw 1 Staff, a cleaner. She was very nice! I didn't cook, but it would have been perfect. I was very happy there is a Hot Pot in the room! I called to extend my stay, Customer Svc was very helpful! I will rent again!"

"We were generally satisfied with our stay at Scandic Lahti City. The hotel has recently undergone a major renovation and looks clean, modern, and fresh throughout, which made a very good first impression. However, the sauna facilities could be much more inviting. At the moment, the sauna area feels more like entering a large sports hall locker room than a relaxing hotel spa. It is also completely separated from the hotel, and you have to access it partly through the shopping centre section — not directly through stores, but via cold, echoing corridors, which takes away from the atmosphere. There were no typical relaxation areas or cosy lounge spaces besides the main hotel lobby, which made the wellness experience feel incomplete. On the positive side, breakfast was absolutely on par with the Scandic chain’s usual quality — a good variety, tasty options, and everything well organised. The breakfast staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating, which added a very pleasant touch to the morning. Parking is convenient in the warm underground garage for €18 per day. It’s also a nice perk that you can walk directly into the department store from the hotel without needing to put on outdoor clothes. Overall, Scandic Lahti City offers a pleasant and freshly renovated environment in a great location, with excellent breakfast service — though the sauna facilities could be made much more comfortable to match the rest of the hotel’s quality."

"The emailed check in with door codes and parking were good. The room was very basic but fine. One twin bed was more of a cot width but worked ok. There were zero plugs available by the bed so we had to string our cords from the opposite wall. One bed only had a chair to use as a bedside table. The air conditioning unit was dripping on the floor by the door and the bathroom and had created a small puddle. We found that we were only provided with 1 each towel/handtowel/bathmat for two guests so I contacted the hotel through Expedia and directly according to the sign on the wall of the room’s directions (no staff anywhere on site) to report the drip and ask for more towels so we could both shower. We put the bathmat on the floor under the drip to prevent possible slip and falls, particularly because my mother is 80. We finally received a response of a picture of a piece of furniture in a hallway somewhere in the hotel with towels in it but no real explanation about half and hour before we would have had to check out - we had already left. About 20 minutes later, I got a response regarding the air conditioning issue that said they would have maintenance look at it. So, we had no bath mat for a very wet shower situation (as many in Europe are), and I used the hand towel to dry off so my mom could use the regular towel.The towel warmer was good. Don’t arrive after 8 and expect to eat anywhere around- they close early. Grocery store was open though. Good location. OK breakfast."
