This place is getting a bit run down. Staff are friendly, but food is limited and a 2/5 across the board. Sun cots are worn out. Pool gets pretty dirty as it is small. Worst part is the time share sales people slugging about all the time trying to sell you. On the plus it’s a 5 min walk tot he board walk… which is good as we ate out 4/5 nights due to poor food.

The buffet there was always a long line And by the pool the only way they came to if you tip big The room was not clean as good as it should of be the furniture in the lobby out date and there try to get you to buy timeshare I go on vacation to get away not to be there for people to bug you I just said no thanks The the location is great and the staff but I won’t stay there again or recommend it to anyone

Familia Garcia-Flores Thank you everyone! We enjoyed our stay! All the staff were welcoming and attentive! We enjoyed the buffer style food. Love that the pool had a toddler area. Big shout out to all the hard working pool staff, especially to Fausto, Rodolfo and Carlos for taking care of us with their amazing service! We cannot wait to go back! Very convenient location for those who like to be near lots of restaurants and shops, friendly and attentive staff. The food was actual really good for all inclusive and we enjoyed the events that the staff put together, lots of fun! We were dissappinted by the beach area(very rocky) and not a lot of beach chairs, and our "garden view"from faced shingles covered in bird poop. The hallways echo and the lounge near our room was extremely loud into 2Am

Probably not enough characters allowed here to say all that was wrong. Concierge Tonia and Oscar and Michelle at outside bar were the only people we felt actually gave a crap. Hard to even find a smile at the front desk. Gave us the previous week activities, so had no idea what was going on over the week. Enough said, won’t be staying there again.

Location. Location. Location. So close to shopping and restaurants. Very safe walk. Lots of families walking out after dark. Beautiful resort - maybe not all the frills of some larger resorts - but super clean, friendly and lots of sun, sand and ocean. Pools are superb and dining at the seaside restaurant was outstanding. (Well worth the line up in the mornings to make reservations which you must do) we had an absolutely outstanding stay at Buenaventura !!

The good thing is the lower price. Also it's in the middle of town if you like to explore the local area. There's barely any beachfront. No space for activities on the beach. Staff can be cold if you don't speak Spanish. This is a resort for locals, gringos aren't that well received. Food was ok.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is great. Food was delicious and plenty of. The restaurant nestled in the back of the property boarding the beach has an amazing view of the sunset. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. Pools and amenities are very clean. The only issue we encountered was on our last day when our rooms did not get cleaned until 3 p.m., After complaining several times to the front desk, we were told that it was priority to clean the empty rooms for their new guest. Current guest were secondary. This was very disappointing for my 80 year old parents who were tired from being out all morning and instead of resting in their room, they had to wait in lobby for 2 hours. It was also very upsetting because it was clear that guest are only significant when they check-in.

This was our first visit to both Puerto Vallarta and Buenaventura. At first we were disappointed that we opted for the honeymoon suite to celebrate our 35th anniversary. I honestly felt taken advantage of because the description stated it was overlooking the ocean. We were given room 1116 which has a tiny ocean view from the jacuzzi. Any view was impossible to see since it was blocked by the spa directly in front of our windows. To make it worse, the spa was undergoing renovations so we also had a great view of the workers hammering away. But then it got better. I talked to the front desk and they immediately apologized and fortunately there was another suite available. They moved us to the third floor and “Wow” what a difference. I have to say from that moment forward, everything went great and all the staff we came into contact with were both pleasant and helpful. The food selections were more than adequate and I tried something new each day. I would like to recognize Catherine the server at the buffet. She was extra friendly and treated us, as well as everyone else as valuable guests. The other person who we would like to mention is Dalia. Dalia is the girl who works the omelette-egg station. She treated everyone well no matter how busy she was, she always had a genuine smile. Although everyone we came in contact with was friendly, these two ladies were a pleasure to interact with. My wife and I enjoyed Buenaventura so much we are planning another visit this year.

This was our 1st time staying at GB. The hotel is clean, friendly staff, but overall good location to el malecon. What we didnt like was the view we got after paying for ocean view/honeymoon suite. In reality we got a partial ocean view & view to the public side street. This was very disappointing.the room was fine but dont false advertise if you are not going be able to provide such room.also, the buffet had long wait lines just to get a table..we enjoyed the music in the lobby and clean pools. The beach is full of rocks so its only good to sunbathe but not swim.

At first there were issues with the room, but after meeting with client services this was resolved. I found the staff to be very helpfull. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The food was great with many options. I would return to this property in the future.
