We stayed at Blue Chairs for a whole week and had a great experience. The location was excellent—right next to the beach and within walking distance of restaurants and bars. We also had a beautiful ocean view. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Sergio, the manager. We had an issue with our first room, and he immediately helped us and moved us to another room. He was extremely kind and made sure we were comfortable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Great location, beautiful views, and wonderful staff. Thank you again, Sergio, for all your help!

The only real positive was the ocean view and beach location. I highly advise that you choose another hotel. First, upon checking in... I was assigned a room that was different from what I booked. I went back to reception and waited 30 minutes to be placed in my oceanview king room. My keycard would not work! Back to reception to receive another keycard that did not work! Two other people were having the same issue, one who had already been there a day prior. The receptionist accompanied me to the room and failed to open the door... then waited for the housekeeping manager who was unable to successfully open the door. I had to wait for maintenance to fix the key reader. Sadly, both the person in the neighboring room and myself experienced a key issue later in the week. Due to a character limit let me list the rest of the issues. 1. Family with a baby and young kids allowed by upper management to stay at the hotel (was awoken by a crying baby and loud kids). 2. Moved to a different room with a rickety kitchenette with a non-functioning AC unit. Had to move back to my original room. 3. Electrical outage 2x after thunderstorms, elevators out of service until the following afternoon. 4. Rough towels feel like a loofah. 5. No in-room safe or mini fridge. 6. Room door had significant gaps around the sides, unable to turn the lock. 7. Food was mediocre at best. 8. Toilet not properly cleaned @checkin 8. Old uncomfortable beach chairs don't allow you to lay back to tan.

It is a shame that the hotel has such qualified and friendly staff, yet the person in charge—the manager—displays such a poor attitude toward guests. Kudos to the staff, with the exception of this individual who completely lacks ethics and professionalism; he ought to lead by example, yet he is defined by his ignorance. A very special thank you to the receptionist, who was incredibly attentive and kind.

Apparently they have a new general manager that is not friendly and truly made our experience not what prior years had warranted. As past faithful patrons, we will consider other options for future stays, possibly at other hotels. Front desk staff, room service, and other staff continue to be friendly and very helpful but management leaves a sour taste in our mouth.

Las regaderas estaban en terribles condiciones. El agua salía muy caliente o muy fría, o en ocasiones hacia un ruido muy fuerte como si la llave del agua fuera a explotar o no se. No tienen ningún espacio en la regadera en donde poner el jabón o el shampoo. La taza del baño para bajarle tenias que dejarlo presionado como 5 segundos. En si a todo el cuarto le urge una remodelación pero lo mas necesario seria el baño que es a donde mas detalles malos tenían.

Stayed here for a week and was a pleasant stay. It’s about 25-30 mins from airport, and literally 2 steps from the beach. You have OXXO and pharmacies that are steps away. And Zona romantica is about 10 min walk. Everything is within walking distance. Resort has multiple pools on each floor and live entertainment on select days.

One of the room's balconies fell off three weeks before my arrival on July 24th, 2026. The front desk staff did not give me a warning to avoid using the balcony altogether. Luckily, I have a friend who had moved to Puerto Vallarta several years ago and got all the juicy local news and warned me about what happened at the Blue Chairs property Scarry!

El servicio del restaurante es pésimo. Si no eres hombre, ni te voltean a ver. Los meseros en ves de atender se ponen a ligar con los clientes hombres, lo único rescatable fue la cama que si es cómoda y la atención de 2 recepciónistas mujeres, pero de ahí en fuera La habitación que decía vista al mar, hay una palmera que tapa prácticamente toda la vista. Le falta mantenimiento a sus habitaciones pero es funcional. Nos dieron boletos para bebidas de Cortesia pero en el restaurante no nos lo quisieron cambiar. La estancia es aceptable pero no volveríamos.

Right next to the beach 🏖️ and the staffs are wonderful especially the front desk his name is Alberto have excellent customer service top notch went above and beyond to meet my needs as a guest, friendly respectful and professional.
