"We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa and loved the full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and outdoor seating area. The pool is large and warm and we had it all to ourselves all 3 days we went swimming. (Closes at 7pm so slight improvement would be longer hours.) Grocery store a couple minute walk away so very convenient if you want to get supplies for some meals. Location would feel inconvenient if you do not have a rental car. (Beach access is a long walk). But with a car we loved how it was central to so...

"Exactly as expected. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again. Gabriela was extremely responsive to any questions and concerns. The area is close to many beaches by walking or a quick Uber ride. Amenities nearby and the vibe of surf side is truly a great experience."

"The room was clean although there were ants crawling around. We were led to beleive the restaurant was open as the promotional info claimed they served cajun style food. When we arrived, it turnes out the restaurant hasnt even been built yet and there was also alot of construction going on daily."

There were things advertised for that were not available like all day coffee and tea; room service; inability to bill your room for food in the restaurant. The gift shops were great. The room could have been better. There was no microwave nor an amoir to hang coats and put away clothes. Rewards amount wasn't given or clear. "Hotel d’escale pour nous. Situe entre deux grandes surfaces. Piscine un peu vieillissante. Type un peu motel américain avec des escales pour les routiers. En bord de route. Petit déjeuner et restaurant le soir à l’hôtel partenaire à côté . Très bon. Attention on parle un peu moins anglais dans la region( notamment le soir au restaurant. "This resort was a pleasant surprise. My husband selected the hotel & I was not excited about having one restaurant on the property. All I can say is WOW!! The menu changed every evening (Italian, Caribbean, Mexican) , the protein was prepared fresh upon request. Typically you had the choice of beef, chicken, fresh fish or pork. "The Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo was incredible and truly exceeded our expectations. The resort was beautifully maintained, with breathtaking scenery at every turn. We especially loved the pools, the seamless boat rides to the beach club, and the consistently friendly and attentive staff. "Rooms need a lot of upgrade for a 4 star hotel. There was water clogging in the bathrooms. Our room refrigerator was not working( that was an issue as we had a toddler with us ) Pools were dirty and over all property needs a lot of maintenance. Staff was really helpful and tried their best to help but there was so much they could do with the proper management."

"Nice place located 5-10 min walk to the beach. Apartment was spacious with plenty of kitchen appliances, plates, glasses etc. Pool was very large for such a small hotel and was cleaned during our short stay. A little dated, but clean and in good condition. Location and value make this a great place for families to stay."
