Domina hotels in Portofino

"I will always stay here in Genoa. Get off Brignole train station. Hotel is 1200 meters from station- but a world away. On arrival greeted by name, simple streamlined registration. Room large, airy; large windows w 100% blackout curtains. Nice bathroom and dressing area. Nice balance bt soft and firm mattress. Didn't love pillows. Breakfast was good, hot food and continental with some regional specialties. Easy routes to any sites of interest. Pharmacy next door, GREAT restaurant family operated; "Stallone" 2 blocks away. Open latish. Meticulous housekeeping. Uniformly helpful and pleasant desk personnel. 10 minute walk to shopping. 15-20 minutes to the old port. Bus stop across street. Two older women we felt very safe at all hours. I am unreservedly enthusiastic about this hotel experience."

"Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and clean and comfortable bedroom (ask for one on back of building for less noise). The only minor complaint is a mold stain in the shower, which should be removed."

"Nice hotel and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Clean spaces. Main problem was that the room (apparently recently renovated) was very strange with the shower and bathroom sink in the same room as the bed. The toilet and bidet were in a separate room with three very bright lights and no means to dim them. "

"The way Geneo was marketed and the reality are two completely different things. The area around the hotel is extremely dangerous and filthy. They advertise free parking and that is not true. We were nervous to be outside after dark. There is no way I would ever return."
