"Hotel in great location for the Hard Interchange, ferries and Historic Dockyard. Room was newly refurbished but bathroom dated. All spotlessly clean. Hotel was mid renovation and to access room was walking through building site which wasn't ideal. Not all facilities were available during stay due to refurb."
"I chose this hotel for its convenience to The Hard bus terminus, the Historic Dockyard and Gun Wharf. It’s a little tatty around the edges but quirky. Our basic room was clean, spacious with comfortable beds. During the hot weather we had air conditioning and two very welcome fans. No hair dryer which was unusual but not a real issue. Will definitely return."
Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth - Gunwharf Quays by IHG
8/10 Good
"Parking is excellent! 24hrs free and in Gunwharf Quays carpark underneath.
Breakfast good, varied and choice of hot or cold.
Staff very friendly and helpful on check in"
"The location was perfect for easy access to pubs, cafes, trains and nearby attractions.
The staff are friendly and the room was clean. Would recommend staying here."
"I arrived exhausted and they were super helpful, explained everything I needed to know and even made me a pot of coffee to take to my room even though the kitchen was closed.
Secure parking so I didn't have to worry about my car that was packed ready for the ferry to France early the next morning. And they also served me breakfast earlier than usual so that I could get to the ferry terminal (which is only 5 minutes drive away) on time for the early ferry.
All round really kind and helpful, I'll definitely stay again when I'm in Portsmouth."
