"We had a lovely stay at the Charles Pacific Grove property. The staff was very friendly and room was nicely decorated. The inn is very quaint with a nice sitting area to meet other guests. The breakfast was very tasty with fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries. We look forward to coming back soon!"

"LOVED everything - location close to everything like the Pacific Ocean, dwn twn P.G. shops and restaurants, Butterfly Sanctuary, 17 Mile Drive, Monterey Aquarium, etc. etc. Quiet peaceful setting with massive trees, smell of eucalyptus in the air, visiting sweet deer, nice friendly staff and other quests - Also the nice high vaulted wood ceilings and large table by front window made it so comfortable and livable - add in fireplace (we did have some minor issues with that), TV, microwave, mini...

"Breakfast is in a room overlooking the ocean. It is served on beautiful table sittings. Their custard French toast might be the best French toast I've ever had by miles. I go back again just for that!"

"The fireplace and ice machine didn’t work. Office opens at 8am, checked out at 8:10 am there was no one at the front desk another customer was there and had been hitting the bell a few times with no response she finally knocked on the door behind the desk a few minutes later a person came out looked like he just got out of bed. Room was clean, good hot water."

"The location is the best as it's near to ocean and pretty much everything is nearby within a 10 min drive that you could need. Front desk staff is amazingly helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated. Bed is super comfortable. All of the room are pet friendly. "

"Unique boutique type hotel but the parking is tough, especially for an oversized vehicle! We arrived and there was a festival happening so all street parking and hotel parking was full. Thankfully later that evening, after the event, we were able to find overnight parking on the street. But beware, there are only a couple spots offered by the hotel. Our room was nice but the bed and pillows were dated, felt like it needed to be replaced because there was a pit in the middle of the mattress....

"Room was clean but my wife got bite by some fleas on the foot . Pillows were too soft . My neck hurt the next morning .need two firm pillows for more support . Couldn’t get the heater to work was alittle cold . A nice cotton blanket would have been great . I loved the shampoo and body wash in the shower . Coffee maker was great. Parking was good too"
